Guys, im looking for an application that can track your daily expenses. I dont mind paying. But it must be worth it! biggrin.gif Thanks.

Depends if on what you are doing exactly. I travel alot and I need to fill up my expense claim every time and as such I'm using Quickoffice. Just need to send my expense template (in Excel format) to it and just edit it in Quickoffice.

1)for this applications:

- QuickOffice Mobile Office Suite - edit, view, create excel and words document.
- Documents To Go - read and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

after typing letter for example, then how to transfer to pc maybe to save or print from pc? can transfer to pc running windows or only macbook?

2)for this applications:

- QuadCamera
- Night Camera

what are the additional features on top of iphone camera's features?

3)from where can download e-book?

thanks for providing informative thread..

Quickoffice
Can transfer using Wifi in which you need to be on same network. Works for me on Windows or Mac but to me transferring it to the Mac is alot easier in sense to create ad-hoc network when no wifi around

Agreed..it was my first app purchase after trying the lite version for 1 day. Price wise might be deterrent for some (I think it was around USD3) but well if you can spend 3k for a phone, ~RM10 won't be such an issue especially with a latte in starbuck costing around 10...my opinion anyway smile.gif
Try the lite and if you need more folders etc can always go for full version. Put the app in first screen so that you won't miss the badge there. I put my Notes on other screen

the only complain about meebo is you have to create a meebo account.. is there anyway to bypass that?

beejive costs $9.99 lol.. meebo free version also has push notifications. I wonder what extra feature beejive has that is worth the $9.99.. hmm
*
When I got my IM+ it cost me around 3.99, same as Beejive and wasn't sale either. Now I think it is consistently 9.99 same like Beejive. Apps price do increase smile.gif

Downloaded this long while back in anticipation it will be good when multitasking comes to IOS4.
BarAlarm. It will makes a sound when your voice signal drop to certain level or when there's no data signal for certain period of time. Good stuff if at times when suddenly lose voice signal and you don't realize it but personally I think useful once multitask is there so you can keep this always in background

any1 using iXpenselt... im personally using the Lite version earlier on, now purchase the full version..

this app can record ur daily cash flow in juz a finger tips.. bside, we can hav the report email to our address too...

Actually before this I was considering those specific apps to keep track of my expense then after much thinking I settled down with Quickoffice since I can always use the Excel to do the expense calculation although it's much more quirky rather than having specific apps just for it

Beejive/IM+ is only for those widely IM like MSN, YM, Gtalk etc.
Whatsapp is instant messaging but the partner need to use Whatsapp as well either on iPhone or Blackberry (last I know of). It will use your phone number as identification so let say if one of your contact have Whatsapp installed under one phone number and you saved that phone number in your iphone then the contact will appear immediately.
Using IM+ (no Beejive yet for me) on iPhone and Agile Messenger on Nokia. Both are great. When I wanted to buy Agile Messenger on iPhone since I'm used to it on my Nokia, the price was sky high. After reading reviews etc settled for IM+ and loving it
IM+ now on iOS4 as well smile.gif

Oh i see u still using the old FW. The new OS4.0 really screws my apps up especially the IM part. No push notification because of the multitasking but doesnt seems like can work. So i wanna buy something which works and forget about other IM app anymore.
*
I'm going back in few hours time. I'll turn on all my IM and other stuff normally I would and I'll revert back. Using IM+ latest version with iOS4.0.1

@Xanavi, the best mIRC app for the iPhone is hands down Colloquy if you're familiar with how it works on the Mac. Also, I am always online in EFnet, what about you?
*
Agreed...tested Colloquy as well last few weeks and +1 smile.gif

Do update me on yr runs using the IM+. If it is good i might just get it and clear all those freeware IM apps on my phone.
Get one good 1 and forget bout the rest.
*
Back in Malaysia for week now and everything runs great on IM+. Push notifications etc runs perfectly well.
If you need recommendation on which one to choose Beejive or IM+ it might be a bit bias review since no one use both to really compare which one is better. Such I won't say IM+ is the way to go only that you can ask for specific things you have in mind in terms of your need and we all can report back on it wink.gif
I still have my Agile Messenger on my Nokia which was superb compared to others those days (like Fring etc). Not sure how is it on iOS platform now since all I heard was either Beejive or IM+

Hi guys,

Thanks for your guide now I got 2 itunes account. One account for US store without the card and another Malaysian store account attach to my card.

Just want to ask you guys whats the MUST HAVE apps I should get from the US store account that I cannot get from the Malaysian store account.

Hope u guys can share.. Thanks.

Those regional apps. I have only one which is Pandora but since it's regional apps you will need to be "in the region" to use those apps. You will need to use VPN in order to use those apps.

You are using iOS4 bro? So far my push notification ever since i updated to the news OS fails badly. Im currently using the IM+ lite version and whenever i exit to homescreen i need to relaunch the app to check if there is any message for me in MSN. The best part is if i close the app in the multitasking bar, there wont be no push notification notifying that i have a message. So i always have to check back by relaunching the app which is a hassle. I like to have my MSN on the go. So i would like a recommendation of a stable IM app that can keep me connected on MSN and simple to use.

p/s: hate the ads over at the IM+ lite making the reading screen so small when u are typing.
*
I'm using iOS4.0.1. So far the push notification doesn't fail on me yet although it can be a bit annoying if you have friends/colleagues around and the phone constantly beeping every few second biggrin.gif

Added on July 25, 2010, 4:03 pmOwh, not sure if this worth a try. Some application that were upgraded ever since iOS4 are buggy in a way. Normally when I discovered this, I remove it from my phone and install it new instead of upgrade/replaced as new and the problem went away

question here. my gf just switched to celcom/blackberry n im using maxis, planning to get an iphone soon with a 500mb/month plan

apart from whatsapp, is there any other apps we can use? how does whatsapp work...will it constantly refresh (use more data) until i get a new msg or does it work by push?

how about if we use yahoo messenger? any disadvantages?
*
Works by push. There's dedicated thread for Whatsapp in here, can pose a question there if you wanna know more on this app.
YM works on push as well.

I would choose Whatsapp since I've experienced msgs lost in space suddenly and it led to confusion not to mention unnecessary argument biggrin.gif
Whatsapp will scan your phone book and see if there are any other user using it as well. All you need is phone no for it to work. Bright side is that it doesn't deal with unnecessary user ID etc like YM for example. Bad side is that you need to give people your phone number and you might hesitate to do so. Depends on person. I've been using same no for many years and it's almost like public phone no and yet I rarely get any prank calls etc biggrin.gif

lol on the unnecessary argument tongue.gif

i didnt ask at the whatsapp thread because i dun want to get biased answers heheh. so if i use whatsapp or yahoo msgr, either way around same amount of data?
*
Yup on data wise. For messaging so far I would stick to Whatsapp and Skype. They have notification on the delivery or not...For business or for serious leisure.
Normal leisure like talk nonsense etc YM/MSN/QQ would do biggrin.gif...
These messaging won't hurt your quota (well assuming the phone not glued to our hands and you can't/won't type/chat say like 18hrs non stop)
Eve fb,email, tweet etc won't hurt it unless you start to go youtube etc smile.gif

No application that can detect speed traps. To detect those you will need a radar which won't come cheap or easily
However, if you use Trapster, you might be able to see the places the speed traps normally would be or roadblocks etc but this depends on community. If you share the location of the speed traps, roadblocks, road hazard etc, basically the entire community would benefits from those and vice versa
