Hey guys, found some FREE apps that works alike Ping! and some even could send photo. As below:

1. MsssageNow by Ting Interactive, Inc
- Send free msg, something like ping!, but this one able to set themes, background, make own unique screen name & selectable ringtone. Sounds good to me!

I don't know what u mean by it can't check MY stocks, it works ok on mine. Just key in the stock and do a search. You get the <stock_code.KL> and click Done.

The few I tried worked.

Hey guys, any recommendations for a Twitter client with push notifications for friends timelines? The ones I can find so far only push mentions and DMs.

I don't think there's any and will ever be; it was something I was looking for earlier but after consideration think it might not be too realistic. Assuming you follow 10,000 people and each of them post a minute apart, you'll be getting push notices 24/7 and that's gonna be v v v v bad on your batt

you can use boxcar for friends timeline notification, and u can link it to ur favorite Twitter app too. But yea, as tinkerbel said, it will be very heavy on ur battery, not to mention annoying too. I used to use SMS Twitter notification and it is super annoying, lol

Hmm, never thought about it that way before since I don't follow many people on Twitter yet but I expect to be on it more once I get the 3G so, good point *g*. I've been trying out IM+ lite on my iPod Touch on wifi and it seems to be working ok. The initialization is a bit laggy but I'm thinking it might be because it's the free version?

BeejiveIM is pretty good if you don't mind paying for an app. Plus it's on sale now so if you're planning to pay for a good IM, go fork out the $ and get that app now whilst it's on sale.

I've BoxCar but it doesn't give you push notifications for all friends time-line, just err DM & Mentions; but I haven't had a chance to make use of it cause it doesn't support TweetDeck! [I'm a cheapskate admittedly but Twitterific was only free for the desktop version!]

any of you could recommend me a birthday alert/alarm app for iphone? i've been browsing the net for this for a few days now, but the apps available doesn't match my requirements for a birthday alert app.

what i want is a birthday app that will automatically pull the birth dates from my contacts list and then alert me when it's his/her birthday. also, i want to set a alarm time for the alert as well.

any of you using this?

Alarm app try Alarm Clock Pro. I feel the iPhone alarm app is good enough for me because other alarm apps require you to open the app when you go to sleep if not it will not work in the background. So you always must remember to open the app up which is a pain and if you forget well your gonna be late for something HEHEH!!!

Speaking of which, does BeejiveIM support Twitter? I'd be willing to pay if it does. IM+ doesn't seem to stay 'logged on' for push very long if it's not kept open. It keeps telling me that my session has expired.
