Hi all, i have just bought a iPhone 3GS 32G from HK airport, and using my existing DiGi sim card, phone wise everything is normal and manage to access almost all features including internet and others

The issue here is, I wanted to share the internet access of this iphone with my MacBook, I have gone thru the thread of Internet Tethering tweak but it was not working on my phone. My firmware is 3.1.2

Advise needed here on what shall I do? I found some article on jailbreaking my iphone and use the PDANet solution from Cydia, but i am not too sure on how to do this jail breaking.

Appreciate if any sifu here can help...

Dear Bro, I tried the above this morning, was successfully see the internet tethering ON/OFF trigger switch after the final reboot, but unfortunately, after my MacBook detected the network connection and prompt out Network preference, showing iphone tethering, the tethering switch at iphone was just suddenly disappear, and gone forever even i try to reboot my iphone.

Then, i restore back all my backup before this mod, installing the MyWi, it work perfectly but unfortunately it cost 9.99 after 10 days trial... ==> dont know if i shall figure out how to pay them and buy this or not....


Any better advise?

Finally i decided to pay and use the MyWi apps, us$9.99, and now it solve my internet tethering issue and my iphone became my wifi router when i needed it ^^
