Dear all,

Recently purchased the iPhone 3GS from Maxis and upgraded to 3.1.2 yesterday. I am getting this call failed message quite constantly and wondering you all are facing the same problem? Any solution? Please share. Thanks.

I got my iPhone 3GS yesterday and having the problem since then. I will get the sim card replace today and see how it goes. However, I have been using iPhone 3G for few years using the same SIM but no problem. PLease advise. Thanks.

Maxis should allow you to make the claim if you've got the service card.  Go to another place until U find one that will do it for u.  What is wrong with her phone btw?

Is this call failed message something new after the FW 3.1.2 update or it's been something that's happening since U got the iPhone 3GS?

If it's something that's been happening since u got the iPhone 3GS, go check if your SIM card is compatible.  A couple of people have reported this issue and had their SIM cards replaced and their problem was fixed smile.gif

Hi,

I just bought the phone 2 days ago and upgraded to 3.1.2 yesterday. I have restored all my past 3G data to this new phone. I can still make calls and access to Internet but call failed or internet failed are happened quite frequent. I did not jailbreak or anything on the phone.

Using iPhone 3GS with 3.1.2
iTunes 9.0.1

Dear all,

I got the advice from the forumers to change the sim card and I did it last Saturday to change the sim card from Maxis. The customer service also advised me to turn off the sim lock, push notification and 3G functions if problem still persist. Anyway, I have tried these few days and my call failed and 3G data access still having problem. But after I turn off my 3G in iPhone, it works again. So 3G from Maxis is giving me the problem. Any recommendation, suggestion or advice? Should I send it back to Maxis?

My iPhone is 32gb 3GS, just bought it from Maxis and no jailbreak or anything done on it. I just restored back all data from my 3G back to my 3GS to 3.1.2 three days ago. I am using latest iTunes 9.01 and Mac.

Please help. Thanks.

I can't change Maxis due to commitment but I need to know whether the problem is common and is it phone problem? If yes, I need to get replacement. Is it common problem among forumers?

No point trying other operators because I cannot change. When I off the 3g function in iPhone, I can use it as normal.

I understand what you meant and will try it if possible. Anyway, is this a common problem? Now I am in different area and the 3gs is working alright with 3g connection. But in my office, the 3g not working well with 3gs. Please note that my previous 3g iPhone is ok and the signal is strong.
