is it just me or is it that 3.1.2 icons look smaller and the keyboard sound is softer?

I got the advice from the forumers to change the sim card and I did it last Saturday to change the sim card from Maxis. The customer service also advised me to turn off the sim lock, push notification and 3G functions if problem still persist. Anyway, I have tried these few days and my call failed and 3G data access still having problem. But after I turn off my 3G in iPhone, it works again. So 3G from Maxis is giving me the problem. Any recommendation, suggestion or advice? Should I send it back to Maxis?

My iPhone is 32gb 3GS, just bought it from Maxis and no jailbreak or anything done on it. I just restored back all data from my 3G back to my 3GS to 3.1.2 three days ago. I am using latest iTunes 9.01 and Mac.

Maxis 3 g suck bro.Celcom 1000 times better.Go demand for proper service or if phone problem get replacement.We pay money so deserve what we paid for.My 2 cents

I can't change Maxis due to commitment but I need to know whether the problem is common and is it phone problem? If yes, I need to get replacement. Is it common problem among forumers?

how about troubleshooting the problem by using a sim from other telcos (eg. Celcom or DiGi) and see does the same issue arise?

No point trying other operators because I cannot change. When I off the 3g function in iPhone, I can use it as normal.

Are you referring to SIM import? If you are, it is in the phone, not in iTunes.

what i meant was obtaining a sim temporarily for troubleshooting purpose ie. borrow from a friend, in case you still don't get what i meant.

connection only have max speed EDGE, shown top
left corner screen. no 3g at all..

I understand what you meant and will try it if possible. Anyway, is this a common problem? Now I am in different area and the 3gs is working alright with 3g connection. But in my office, the 3g not working well with 3gs. Please note that my previous 3g iPhone is ok and the signal is strong.

yes, i mean SIM Import. i want to import my contact number in sim card to my iPhone. can you tell me how to get SIM Import??

Go to Settings - > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
at the Contacts column (near bottom), u ll see Import SIM Contacts

Anyone having problems with accessing Celcom voicemail?

I can call 1313, but failed when using the *5005*86*1313# and pressing the Voicemail.

Im using the same plan like your's.
Sometimes its hard for people to call my iphone. Suddenly a SMS pop up saying i got a miss call. Even with full signal bar.
The celcom unlimited data is also getting on my nerves, I alway get the "server cannot be found" error while surfing.
Pls help. Do i need some settings for the data plan to make it work right?
I guess made the wrong decision to stick with Celcom with the iphone. Should have subscribed to the Maxis plan i guess. Sigh

Maybe Celcom and iphone is just bad combination overall

Can someone verify this?

New contacts are stored in the phone.

If you use other SIM cards to test the phone and if it works that means it's not the fault of the iPhone. If you asked me, your problem is not solved - so give it a test and see if it works.

Hey bro..i notice the softer keyboard sound as well but didnt actually notice the smaller icon though..

Mines 32GB 3GS Official maxis set.. OS 3.1.2
