anyone experience having to open safari twice to make the internet (edge/3g) work? first time open, any page wont load, close safari and open again then it works. seems like it also occurs to app store as well. the phone is on 3.1.2 and digi 3g connection.

is quite waste to sign up the plan/data in my area because my area don have 3g coverage

n call them to blacklist me also not rly a good idea for me

Actually JB is not a bad thing .. just don't be tooo trigger happy and install all sort of apps without knowing what it can do. That's where all the troubles arise with newbies. All want to install, later phone problem dunno what to do. Even if the app in beta also want to install.

But it actually depends on ones preferences. For me, i can never live without jailbreaking.

Just recently, an Australian by the name of Ashley Towns released an iPhone worm into the wild, which essentially Rick-rolled the user if their phone met certainly vulnerability criteria. Now, however, Towns has managed to get a job with a development firm, escaping any legal punishment he should receive.

The worm, named the Ikee worm, wasn't malicious in intent, but that's not to say it didn't come without any dangerous repercussions. As posted by Graham Cluley on a Sophos blog, the worm contained a few bugs, and also built the path for a more dangerous worm, dubbed the 'Duh' worm. The Duh worm didn't Rick-roll people, but rather attempted to turn affected iPhones into a botnet, and steal personal data. This is why many people are shaking their heads over the decision to hire Towns as a developer, at least without giving him some sort of punishment.

The firm that hired him is mogeneration, which currently has a number of commercially available iPhone apps. Interestingly, the company made a post on the worm recently also, somewhat defending Towns and reassuring users that they would be fine.

Cluley on the Sophos blog makes a good point, stating, "There are plenty of young coders out there who would not have acted so stupidly, are just as worthy of an opportunity inside a software development company, and are actually quite likely to be better coders than Towns who made a series of blunders with his code." At the very least, it hopefully means Towns will be keeping on the straight and narrow from here on in.

The specificity of the job description is somewhat unusual for Apple, and particularly interesting given recent events.

Apple and Google have increasingly become competitors in the mobile space while Google's mapping data remains an integral part of the iPhone's Maps application. Google has recently stepped up even further with the introduction of many new features for their Android mapping application. This included advanced features such as plain english search, voice search and more. Although Apple and Google are said to be working on bringing the same technology to the iPhone, there's been evidence that Apple is working on their own mapping technology.

Apple recently acquired a mapping company called Placebase which had been know for differentiating itself from Google's offerings. The former CEO of Placebase is now part of the "Geo Team" at Apple, which has led to speculation that Apple is looking to separate itself from their dependance on Google maps.

guys, everytime I go into the "Hide Icons" in SBSettings, and do hide few icons, it will generate a blank bookmark icons at each of my home screen. Is it normal?

guys,having problem to open facebook app. it manage to go in main page just few sec, then exit back to home screen.this is not the 1st time i face this problem.anyone facing this problem?only this application.......
