QUOTE(hihihehe @ Nov 24 2009, 09:19 AM) another worm? looks like JB user cant live happily Not true .. I've been a jailbreaker for almost 3 years and I'm happy with it. FYI, I have SSH installed and turn on 24/7 and I'm not scared of any worms. Why? Follow the rules and you'll be safe all the time.

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Nov 24 2009, 02:58 PM) ya..i mean was the worm target JB user only..lol Correction: It only target - JB user who install SSH but don't care less to change the root/mobile password when already warned and somehow very clever to not turn it off when not in use. p/s - Leaving your SSH turn on all the time does not affect the battery level.

@loumou & kazaf86 If it does not display the 'E' symbol means the phone does not detect any EDGE connection in that area. Try with another phone to check the connection or resetting the network setting.
@Jasonjinct Nope ... no can do.

@spikyz Wait for the January 26th event and maybe they'll announce the new model. Apple have something like a clockwork schedule of refreshing it's iPhone line every year around July. For more info, you can see the Apple product cycles at http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Jan 11 2010, 12:39 PM) I don't believe there's any other format as the 'bubble view' is synonymous to iPhone and though you can change the background, you can't do away with the 'bubbles'. Actually there's a way but it requires you to jailbreak and install 3rd party app. The app is iRealSMS and it cost some $$$. You can go and check here for more details. For me, I prefer biteSMS as it resembles the stock SMS app but with added features.

Found this nice (but long) article about jailbreaking, iPhone security and legality of jailbreaking. Just some info to share to the community.

@jeoyuli When you connect to PC, does it detect as iPhone or portable storage? If iTunes did not detect it then probably a fake one.
My friend got conned by those Handphone Fair at Jaya 33 last 2 weeks. The best thing is they give my friend to play around with a real iPhone but instead give a fake one once purchased. When the price is TOOOO low from the market price, surely it's TOOOO good to be true.

Mmmm if that msg pops up then it's a fake iPhone. Sorry mate.
My friend went back to the shop and demand a refund but instead he got a real iPhone but only the 2G version. Atleast a real iphone laaa.

@keanzteoh Cables are not under warranty ... you need to get a new one.
@nky_kevin Yes they do offer prepaid packages (but without any subsidy to the phone price) with free 500mb data package for 12 months (if i'm not mistaken). Check out Maxis websites for the details.
