Under the pretext of cryptographic exportation control, US government made the major FOSS hosts (SourceForge, Google code, Fedora, etc...) in USA territory comply with the Export Administration Regulations. As a result they reject the access of FOSS resources from the 5 countries in the "black list" of US government.

It's not the first time that a government try to control Internet access to protect its interest. One of most famous examples is the Grand Firewall of China. Obviously the US government is walking into the footsteps of the Chinese government. In our case it's about the violation of FOSS community's right, we cannot just let it happen without doing something. It should never be any government to decide who has the access right to FOSS resource and who has not.

So here it is the version 5.7, which (and the future versions) is (will be) released on both sourceforge.net and tuxfamily.org (France) - that ensures the access of Notepad++ resource is out of US government control and guarantees the freedom of access of Notepad++ resource for everyone.

Notepad++ v5.7 new features and fixed bugs (from v5.6.8) :

This version contains few majors fixes such as unicode file corrupted on saving bug, php syntax highlighting bug and some performance issues on Unicode files.
Some new features are added: "search and replace action macro recording", "Modify Shortcut/Delete Macro" and "Modify Shortcut/Delete Command".
Scintilla component is update to 2.20 in this version.

User can set supported encoding charsets in "New Document Settings".

All the item in context menu can be renamed. Make your contextMenu.xml in "UTF8 as ANSI" if you want to modify the menu items in your language.

In this new release, a minimalist package is added.
It contains only the files needed to run Notepad++ with no plugins, no themes, no autocompletion API files, no updaters and no localization files.
The package is much smaller and Notepad++ should run faster.

An annoying regression is fixed in the new release 5.8.7: wrong input characters are inserted due to non modal message boxes.

The installer is enhanced in this release: by choosing Minimalist option during installation procedure, user can install or update Notepad++ without any extra component (default value is Custom).

Fix a regression bug: the notification message boxes were not modal. It can be ignored by user then cause wrong input characters.
