FWIW, I hv been keepin track of tis ttl for a long time now n only recently was there sum activity .. in fact it used to be listed for sale from amz. uk itself n when it went dwn to 38% off - I was a trifle late in bitin de bullet n amz went off n changed their supply to Jersey Isle which effectively raised de price another 13% - only yesterday(or thereabouts) did they lower it to current price which made it worth my while..

I notice tat 'used' ttls normally hv tis removed thou'..
Why I like tis is cos I normally arrange my bds wif de top facing out n tis helps in itemisin it .. O ya hv to arrange it tis way so to sv space..

To remove de adhesive from stickers - can use rubber/erasers, but u nid to use sum elbow grease .. foolproof way is wd40..

Hi,

I hv rec'd in 5days thru USPS Priority post but not from amz.. n I m up north, away from de bustling crowd..

I saw District 9 in de cines n only de beginnin is there de shaky vidcam bits cos the story plays out like a docu as de star gets interviewed while on de job.. Its nuthin like Cloverfield which I couldnt finish n sold it of asap - in spite of killer bass notes..
D9 Sp Efx is pretty gud thou there are sum ripoff bits like de robo-extender from aliens/star wars.. overall tis is a mus hv in most sci fi fans..

I hv tis in SD .. Bought tis cos I remembered tat de story was kinda fun.. but when I watched it ..
ZZZzzzz.. my kids thought it a bit boring too..

Upgrd to HD ??? Only if its in de 6buck bin..

Dragon hunters is a french animated production n I bot tis cos of bluray.com glowing rvw.. N its great.. worth evry penny I pd for it..

Story revolves ard an alternate world where ppl live on floatin islands not on water but on air.. Zoe de main star lives wif an old rich uncle, who is a lord.. she amuses herself by readin abt her fav character, silver gothik knight who fights dragons..
Her uncle is almost blind n hv lost all his knights fightin de world gobbler (mythical beast) tat literally burns everytin it sees..
When Zoe is saved by 2 wanderin souls from 2 electric dragons, she naturally assumes they are knights cum to fight de world gobbler..
Animation is really really gud.. rivallin disneys best n imagination wise .. its literally out of tis world..
Stories gud too wif plenty of character buildup .. even de suspence in seeing de dragon in de final battle scene is sumtin else..

VDO is great wif details in de background literally poppin - its tat gud..
ODO is literally fantastic - reference material .. Surr works non stop n almost full range too - veri diff to find such flick wif such sound engineerin .. Bass is bombastic n makes me glad tat I hv a gud sub..

You might say wat u like abt Nic Cage but Knowing is a fantastic flick..
All de ingredients are there : suspense , excitement plus a story tat beggars belief but u still wanna know wat happens..

A 8yr old girl writes a series of numbers to be put in a time capsule to be opened in 50yrs time - fwd 50yrs to present n said capsule is opened n same girls parchment is passed on to Nic Cage's son who has a hearin deficiency .. at first dismissed as jus a jumble of nos Cages character , a prof.. realises its a list of major tragedies wif dates, no of ppl killed n de latitude n longtude of said tragedy for de past 50yrs.. there are 3 more 'incidents' waitin to happen.. can Cage's character stop it??
Proyas hand in tis is brilliant as de story dont let up until de conclusion n wat a conclusion it is..

VDO is superb in tis initially slo beginnin - colors pop n sp efx sequences are jus brilliant - plane/train crashes are in real time, none of tat slomo mumbo jumbo..
ODO is reference material - from de plane crashin n de subway incident to sum spooky surr efx brilliantly brought to life in surr glory .. as expected subs get a gud workout in most tragedies n final ending..

Tis is a mus hv ttl in any scifi fans shelf..

Caught tis las nite n its fantastic storytellin..

Animation is not de pretty type thou' - veri dark n bland - close to Nitemare before Xmas n Corpse Bride but de story is brilliant..

Coraline has jus moved in wif her parents to a new place in de country n is bored to death, wat wif her parents , too busy to really care for her except for de feedin n even then its mostly 'slop'.. little did she know there was a secret door tat can unleash a totally different world which in de begining gave her so much pleasure - u see, its almost exactly like their world wif a 'other' mother n father tat gives her all de food n attention tat she craves..
BUT there is a catch..

Coraline is played by Dakota Fanning beautifully wif her never-give-up attitude..

If u can get over de animation style, tis is a worthwhile purchase for its story alone.. mind you thou' I personally tink its not for de really small kids cos de story runs deeper than wat de small uns can understand..
After sayin tat, my daughters enjoyed it in spite of everytin..

O ya, watched it in 3D (there is both versions avlbl, complete wif 4 anaglyph glasses) My other 3D bd is Brendan Frasier's Journey to the Center of the Earth n in comparison this is a more subtle 3D approach .. less in your face kind of ting.. there are a few instances where de characters 'walk past u from behind' style which is quite unique..

VDO is a bit bland but there are bursts of color.. its still HD sharp thou'
ODO is great wif dts hd ma - sub/surrounds work mos of the time


I m in de same boat wif Matrix n Bourne trlgies stuck sumwhere .. over a wk liao..

Agreed tat our posmen are generally honest - in my 2 n one half yrs of online buyin, I hvnt lost a packg .. arrivin late yes ; lost - no..

Its certainly a novelty.. n since its pre packaged .. makes it even better value for money..

Note tat sum ppl find watchin wif de anaglyph glasses makes them dizzy after awhile.. thou' it was ok for me n my family.. if tats de case, u can always watch it in 2 D..

FWIW, I hv 4 3d bds now .. other 2 is Hannah Montana n Jonas Bros.. they all hv their redeemin factors.. plan to oso get Polar Xpres - 3D...

Actually its 1% each way meaning if u pay in foreign currency then its 101% of forex at tat particular day n if u get a refund then its 99% of forex of 'selling' rate - pretty confusing tis.. either way u lose those 'administrative' chrgs - tats why if possible, I ask for gift vouchers instead of cc refund, if I forsee a refund/rebate/compensation..

Amz dont do 'refund to account to be used later' anymore but they can still issue you a gift voucher equal to wat they owe you ..

If not mistaken its only for a few hrs or until stock lasts for dat ttl.. oso u must lock in de deal by checkin out ur order so its 5buck each time u order a 'gud deal' n since de deals cum hourly.. I wonder how many can u order b4 u feel de per ordr chrg (4.99) pinch.. I remember I only did one ordr for last yrs blk frdy ...
