Slightly bigger bag also don't want to deliver and want you to collect at post office. However, there has been a slowdown and I believe it will be back to normal from next week. Amazon UK has a disney BOGO promotion. Pls check the region coding since most would be region locked to B and playable in Region B player or Region Free player only. However, the prices are pretty decent with shipping for the titles (RM60 with shipping)

Sholin Soccer & Assembly from Amazon UK....a bit slow this round using DHL post....took 12 days to reach me Yeah, I believe there are problems between Royal Mail and Amazon UK. They seem to be switching to DHL post and it is definately slower than Royal Mail. |

QUOTE(horray @ Oct 18 2009, 07:15 AM) Has anyone seen this? Is the PQ as good as what it says on the REVIEW? I have this concert. This was an outdoor concert and my opinion not as razor sharp as the ones that are indoor with controlled lighting. However, I doubt they can make it look any better that it is and it is a nice concert if u like Bocelli. I did not notice the high grain that u mention. Your friend would probably need to check his greyscale calibration and sharpness check (also need to check if he turned on any enhancement, since it is a 1080i video)I have a friend who mentioned that the PQ is not sharp and very grainy! QUOTE(fadthil @ Oct 19 2009, 05:01 PM) If we buy from amazon UK, the prices shown is with VAT or without? If the former, does Amazon UK automatically deduct the VAT or we have to notify them first when we place order? The prices shown are inclusive of VAT. If it is sold by Amazon UK, then the VAT is deducted , if it is sold by Amazon's Jersey Merchant, Indigostarfish.com then no VAT applied and it will not be deducted(Jersey is outside of the UK).This post has been edited by anfieldude: Oct 19 2009, 05:05 PM |

U might need to take the risk with coco avant chanel... Quick note : This version from Amazon Fr will not have English subtitles. If u want, there is a UK release on Nov 23. This will have english subs. It is an Optimum release (again cannot confirm if this will be region free) See Link. QUOTE(rx330 @ Oct 20 2009, 10:27 AM) yea, heard abt the UK release, so just pray optimum isnt region locked Optimum is touch and go, really need to see if it is region locked or not. Eg, Terminator 2 initial was not locked then later the new one was region locked. Unfortunately, most of their newer releases seem to be region locked. Their catalog releases are not region locked.wat are the previous BD releases by optimum? any idea locked? |

QUOTE(arremie @ Oct 20 2009, 08:46 PM) The steelbooks finally here arremie,[attachmentid=1261240] Bought 3rd sept, ketam lepas 11th sept, pusat mel bkt raja received 12th sept...delivered to me 20th Oct Some friends follow [attachmentid=1261248] I'm a bit disappointed with snow white. It's not really in wide screen. The movie still in 4:3 format but they put a static screen to cover the black bar on left and right to make it looks like 16:9 4:3 is the correct aspect ratio for snow white. As it is for Pinocchio as well. These were filmed in what is known as Academy ratio. However, it is a big improvement compared to the DVD version. I also appreciate that Disney did not make the mix artificial by forcing a 7.1 to all the areas. I believe the BD does justice to cell animation and the brush strokes on the background is pretty darned good. Sleeping Beauty is framed as 2.35:1 because it was filmed in Cinemascope. Most of the older Disney animation will be 4:3 aspect ratio, there is nothing that can be done about that. |

QUOTE(rizal77 @ Oct 21 2009, 07:45 PM) yeah!!! i think that the word!!! picture depth is it???? Put any LCD/Plasma into Dynamic mode, turn up the contrast, sharpness and colour and u will get the 3D effect. However, when u bring the display home and put it ur living room u will be lucky if ur eyes don't pop out. something like that i believed, where the actor and the background seem to have that depth it makes the front object appearing to popped out of the screen. Correct me if i am wrong, but im not sure what is the effect term is called?? all sifu, please help me....if possible what is the best brand for lcd tv that has this ability of the depth thingie. LCDs especially the ones with 200Hz, 240Hz convert the film to more video like that causes this effect. However, to get the correct 3D effect, u need to calibrate a display and make sure the white balance and especially gamma is correct. This in itself will bring out the 3D image due to better shadow detail and depth. And with proper calibration, ur light levels will be more controlled. |
