Cheers, Anyway, I feed them before I shipped out to you. This post has been edited by deathpion: Jan 15 2010, 07:53 PM |

Any bros out there sent scorpions to Singapore before. A few guys are asking me, but I do not want to take any unecessary risks. Thanks.

QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Jan 27 2010, 12:43 PM) Thanks for the info. That's what I thought too. I told them to collect and send my themselves if they want. If I remember correctly the fine is SGD10,000 per exotic pets smuggled last time. Cheers. BTW your balsasensis looks great. |

Just met up with Lester yesterday. Got your regards, Sam. Thanks. Was suppose to yumcha with Lester but I've got 3 mites with me which Lester saw only one. Sam when you are coming over visiting don't forget to inform in advance and i'll look for babysitter for my 3 mites. Hahaha, I got my obese samples ahead of you. Take care.

This morning during my regular misting session found this. It's a 6 instar emperor scorpion which I got from Rafiq since 4th instar. What baffles me is the cause of death as it molted to 6th instar more than 2 weeks ago and was eating right. It was even seen roaming around at 2am but at 6 am the whole body was mutilated by a group of ants which normally appear when there is dead cricket. Any idea anyone on the cause????

Yeah I thought it's funny too as the cricket I put in is small size one and the emperor has been eating for the past few alternate days without problem, even if the cricket comes for a bite which i doubt it'll definitely turn it away or eat it. That's why I'm still confused?

Hmmm it remains a mystery, I expected to find larvae or maggots too but closely inpecting it found nothing. Sometimes wild caught specimens may have larvae running on their body but everything is kept clean with uneaten food removed within 12 hours. Well, regardless of what happens I'm still very enthusiastic like you guys who have losses too which come as part and parcel of this hobby. Thanks for the input guys really appreciate it, at least now I know some other people are pondering on the mystery as well.
