Alright, maybe i overlook. So means desert sp do able to survive under some light misting? btw, tenso is been long time hvnt see you appear.
Busy?
Ohya, why dont you guys post the way how you keep your scorpions in msc? Esp hot2? More like care sheet, but more detail, sort of like those lester posted, substrate to sand ration per instar, feeding time, food, where you put your inverst... ect... and maybe rate of survival. Just my thoughts.
Well u can say dat

For desert sp.,i think the best is not to mist at all bcos they r most sensitive and will get mycosis easier than any other sp.They can get enuff moisture just frm their food ady imo depends on their habitat which hardly to get even a drop of water.
The advantage of desert sp. is they hardly got mites infest on them(din c any case yet,any more to add?) but to prevent mycosis and molting problem is the biggest challenge which u hav to manipulate the humidity, temperature and they moisture wisely...
For h.hottentotta,i wonder if we keep m.martensii in the right way then we can apply dat to h.hot as well?I heard m.martensii also come frm arid and not-so-arid area, isnt it?
I loss my h.hot as well due to unknown reason a few days after it molted.Dat time i mist once a week and feed it just 1 crix drumstick and it will bloat up and i'll stop feed it anymore.
I used just coco fibre as h.hot substrate and when slightly mist on the side,i do notice it likes to go to the damp place as well.
Actually i seldom calculate how many times per day/week i feed my inverts, just when i c they r thin ady,i'll feed them until a certain size then i'll stop but i do maintain the humidity of them

Sry for cant giving more informative info as i hav limited knowledge about them YET...Hope other more experience keepers share their insight about their scorpions
