Patience is a virtue, and so is balancing PR with someone you need help from. Being pushy doesn't put you in the good books of anyone. Being sincere does. nod.gif

hmmm... My emperor Scorpion seems to have a problem.. It looks like it is paralyzed... Yesterday came home from One Utama n saw my emperor is out from her burrow but after close inspection it wiggled it self in the subs near the water bowl trying to move.. But hardly did... only like 2cm while she move vigorously. left it as advice by Ryo and today its in her burrow but with its tail rise up like pushing something away.. Still the same way keep on moving but only able to move few cm apart.. Wonder wuts wrong with her. and some times her legs raised real high ... anyone has any answer of this strange behavior.. cant b molting rite.. coz if she does it would b fatter... feed her like 3 days ago n she was ok..

last time one leg seems to b problematic. Looks injured didnt realised it when i got her. after few days i got her cek to feed n saw that one leg seems to be injured it does not move like normal legs.. Its like a broken leg where she can only rise her leg but cant push forward.
Now all legs seems to b like that.. she did have any falls or anything coz her tank is flat no high places she can fall to. this is beginning to disturb me now.. what could b the cause..

Bryan,

Not much is known about the disorder called dyskinetic syndrome - it remains a mystery disease. Afflicted tarantulas usually exhibit uncontrolled twitching of the legs, sometimes with such force that the tarantula is thrown about. Some people have reported cases where the tarantula jerked back and forth - frontwards, then backwards.

Researchers are trying to find the cause, but right now there are only some ideas held by experienced tarantula breeders and keepers. Pesticides that accidentally get on the tarantula's food or are sprayed in the household are suspect. Other chemicals, such as air fresheners and cleaning products may also be involved. Mold in the cage is another possibility. Stressed animals are most likely to be affected, so stress may be an important factor, too.

Very few things have been found to help. Some time with the cage placed in a very humid bathroom has been reported helpful by some owners. Some tarantulas get better on their own, while others die. You can try the humid bathroom - run a hot shower until the room becomes steamy. Make sure the food you give is pesticide free, and remove any suspicious chemicals from the tarantulas room.

My new Pandinus smithi just arrived. It appears alright, except that it periodically twitch its left claw and only the left claw. Sort of like Parkinson diseasea but only on the left claw. It crawls around fine.

Please help!!!

Below is the clip that I filmed it. There are two parts of the clip. One is when it was near the water dish. The last part was when it was hiding.

Some sort of similarity but his case was not that serious

i just hope she will recover.. The food source i think is ok.. coz i feed the others and none have any problems.. I clean my room like 2 days ago but she seems fine.. I didnt use any chemicals or fragrance.. just cleaning and vacuuming.. i dont think that could b the cause, or could it?
