LOL, I know it looks ignorant to you. Jangan so mean la....lol
zoejehuty: They are probably scuttle flies or a type of phorid fly. They need decaying matter to breed, occasionally they will lay egg on excretion of scorpion. Won't do much harm normally. They are nearly everywhere, the clean up team of nature. However, i think you get the point of adding more substrate, Heterometrus spinifer is opportunistic burrower, mostly they take advantage on hiding under logs or stones, waiting for prey to come. And the more substrate easier for you to maintain humidity. Provide a piece of drift wood for them to hide under, which i think you can buy at local pet fish shop. Here is a good link for you to learn. Specially from this guy, i think his username is LXDGN what, i know his a local scorpion keeper. His enclosure is a good example but i can't find the link from his previous tutorial setup. You sendiri cari. Enough spoon feeding d. http://www.venomlist.com/forums/index.php?...pic=3124&st=300 |

btu then is quite big my drift wood though, more towards long, is like half of my 1.5ft tank though...
by the way, my tank for the scorpion is 1.5ft, is it ok right? just for 2 afs only. oh ya, i read through the link of the picture setup, that guy is pro man... some more keep so many scorp, is he malaysian? and to setup like what he done, it sure hard for me though, since i have limited things, just have pots, 1 driftwood and cocopeats only. oh ya, what's the malay word for potting soil? for what i know is like those cactus soil or those soil which use to 'tanam pokok'... about the false bottom, it is necessary to do it? for what i found out is to help keeping the moisture so dunnit to douse it all times right, so without it, you still can keeping the moisture, just that need to douse it more often only right? |

I pour evenly, until they are all soaking wet
But those substrate below will absorb those water in a few hours and moisture last longer, better than spraying them every day |
