just bought a v477 during the recent desa home theatre promotion. This is my first venture into home theatre setup, away from HTiB.

I'm shopping for 5.1 speakers. Can sifu in this forum recommend a few options? Mainly used for astro and Apple TV. Might consider listen to music more, after having a Yamaha avr.

Anyway, my budget is 1.8k +-. Thanks for any input.

if u are not rush, start with 2 unit of very good first. center & rear can add afterward.

else u got yamaha surround set like p40, boston soundware xs, wharfedale dx10, jbl entry set.

mind to share price for 477?

I'm narrowing down to 2: Boston xs 5.1 and jbl cinema 610. But difficult to find them in the market. Will keep searching.

Pls share if you know where to get them. Thanks.

My Boston XS Subwoofer has just broken, no power, no reason.. I personally advice you avoid this model.

Well, they are still doing heavy promotions currently, until they flush out all those old stocks.
I may consider marantz 5008, which only rm1699.

Bought v477 for RM1099. Was aiming for v677 for RM 1599 but the deal was over.

Does anyone happen to visit Desa lately? Just want to know whether the price RM1399 still available for v379.

RM1399 is normal price not promotional since that model was newly introduced to our market.

usually you go to like Harvey Norman, you need to ask if got discount. Usually will have some discount

Try to search for aventage series like the A850 will be good enough. Monitor audio is a British speaker brand. Go search for it.

good start from RX-V477(5.1 surround) to RX-A850 (7.1 surround + dolby atmos) & more.
monitor audio is speaker brand from uk. model are bronze series, silver series.


yamaha sw is closer to soft side.
general music & rumble ok but movie unable give very theater kick that shake ur pant
