chill bro cool2.gif the mines area is so big tongue.gif i know none of city by the plate of bgw3327. but am surely on the lookout when am coming over to there.
i am staying in cheras but always go to the mines 'yam cha' with buddy.
talking about bad road planning; actually, the road around the mines area is quite confusing. especially the one heading to cheras /serdang / the mines shopping fair. you could stay in your line and out of sudden, the line is dead and you're either force to stay in your line or cut into other road user's line sweat.gif
btw, the highway that pass through the mines shopping fair to balakong is famous for ah beng racer at night. be careful!
some driver are really a pain in the a#%!

@kimiloh@
you may need to go for an atf change. i was having the same problem too. after an atf change, gear shift back to normal. if it was already more than 100k mileage, don't go for atf flusing cuz' it may end up damaging the worn out rubber seal inside. just an atf change will do.
and don't forget to clean up the throttle body more often!

@PowerSlide@
if your absorber is still working fine, changing the worn out absorber link may help. cost around 35 bucks / side for compatible and could be around 60 bucks for original oem proton. this way, no squeaking sound going over the bump.

Hi guys,

My 2002 waja auto, suddenly got problem with the timing.
When idle, the timing is very low, and sumtimes the engine runs very slow until it switches off. The other thing, the vibration is quite tremendous. I can feel the whole car vibrating when the timing is very low.
This thing happens out of a sudden on this week. Before this it was okie..
Anyone experiencing this b4?

Sent to workshop just now, the mechanic says the problem was on a faulty ignition coil. It makes one of the spark plug unusable. That explains the problem..

maybe you have heavy feet? or you always stuck in jams? or you have dirty air filter? or you never cleaned your throttle body? or tires are under-inflated? or sport-rims are too heavy? or you used thick visco engine oil? or ...

plenty of reasons smile.gif

Thanks for the reply man and this is one of the factor that shows why Malaysia have such a high accident rate.
Anyway , interested to replaced the cat-con ? I'm also more free during weekends , maybe I should give Everco a call and ask them whether they're operating during weekends ?

or you would prefer changing your extractor ? I came across one seller selling his Zenden Chrome Extracor which already wrapped in thermal wrap for Rm180. Gimme a pm and I'll give you his contact. smile.gif

Any idea how to clean the TB ? I'm a total newbie when it comes to that. blush.gif

Should change spark plug cable and spark plug if it haven't been replaced or without any record. Air Filter too if it's dirty.
In addition , you could try changing to a lower viscosity engine oil like 10w-40 and those Fuel Injector cleaner treatment aswell.

One thing you must not be missed is your tire pressure , make sure it's in the correct range else it'll consume petrol like you're having right now and Please guys, enjoy your ride! biggrin.gif

throttle body (TB) is where the air is sucked in from air filter. there is stepper motor for air cond and 1 TPS. pic like this aaa
http://www.mudah.my/Waja-throtlle-body-4273403.htm

ask you mechanic to clean la. upah RM35 only. but say like this -
"abang, bwak turun throttle body, kasik cuci. spray elok-elok la. sensor pun cuci sekali. lepas tu, sembur sikit dalam manifold". your mech should clean with carb/TB-cleaner spray. no WD-40 here. if use by your mecha, fire him kaw-kaw.

after reassemble back everything, rev the engine to 5k++, for few mins. You will smell the hangit at the back as the carbon build up coming out.

then it's better to replace your spark plug RM30~ depend on your preference. then your idle will become high if the tb was from very dirty become clean ... ask your mech to adjust to 700-800. make sure test with air-cond on-off and radiator on-off also.

bro cleaning the TB is supposed to give better accelerationr right? is a dirty TB responsible for having to crank the engine twice during cold start? cos lately the first time i crank the engine will stall. 2nd time only everything will be fine.

has anybody used the decarbonizing stuff for their engine before to remove the carbon deposits? any positive results?

I dont really feel good about the D'carbo. Although I never used it before , I read that it might cause Hydro lock , foul spark plug and foul petrol smell after they did it.
Maybe you can try out those addictive or treatment that sells in Hypermarket or accessories shop instead.

Bear in mind , Nothing beats an overhaul. smile.gif
