Yes, I have. I was using a cap ayam S-Video cable (TNK one) and then I got a Monster free with my Plasma. Difference was immediately obvious. Monster cable was brighter and details clearer.

Before this i use cheap Choseal S-Video cable from Jln Pasar. With this monster cable for my astro the PQ really improve a lot, the picture is really more colourful, i have to reduce the colour, brightness and contrast setting. This is good becoz it can prolong your lcd lifetime...really satisfied. Good seller...

Just got mine. If you still using composite or cap ayam s-video cable for Astro.....get this!
Sharper image, vibrant color and make the whole picture clearer. This is compared to my cap ayam s-video cable.
Now I wonder if Monster THX 1000 S-Video is better than this Monster S-Video 2

Pardon me, I am new to this forum. I was looking for ways to upgrade the TV (astro) quality via a google search, and somehow it brought me to this website. I read several of the comments, and was convinced that it would work the same for my LCD tv as well.

Since I wasnt a registered user, and didnt want to go through the hassle of registering for one, I sent a text msg to 'DigitalTech' asking whether is it possible for outsiders to purchase this cable or was it just LowYat forum members. Within minutes he replied me, and said he had put me onto his 'list'.
And what do you know, within the next 24 hours or so, he texted back saying that the stock had arrived.

This would mean I ordered at approx 2pm on a Wedn, by 6pm the next day I received the product. Very reliable seller, didnt even mind letting me know where he stayed so I could drive over to his place to avoid the hassle of him coming out during evening rush hour. He also took his time to have a chat, and explained about goods, and shared some knowledge and experience of his about audio/video. (very helpful for a newbie like me)

As for the cable, need I say more? Read the other comments above! Very satisfied, but still hoping Astro would change  upgrade soon. Then our poor friend have to find new cables to sell (just kidding).

Got my Monster S-video and HDMI cables on Saturday.

After Testing and Compare with others cables, here is my results...

i'm using a LG 42" plasma TV with astro Max,
And Testing with 3 different Brands of S-video Cable and a normal composite cable.

1) China made S-video-1.5meter (RM48)
2) QED S-video-1meter only (RM180)
3) Monsters S-video(from DigitalTech) 8 feet

I was told by DigitalTech, Because of plasma can handle standard format video source quite well, So the impact (improvement) of this cable is lesser on a plasma than a LCD TV. And This is also the main Reason Why i shift from LCD to plasma, because most of my source is in SD and not in HD.

method of Testing, -  i record a 5 min video clip with astro Max, and keep playing the same Clip again and again so that i can easily spot the different.

PQ- Result of Picture Quality

1) Monster - 5 Star
2) China Brand - 4 Star
3) QED - 3 Star
4) Composite - 2 Star

For my wife, she can't  tell any different between those cables.
(p/s) my wife is wearing a pair of spectacle with very very very thick glasses on it!...

So, on my LG Plasma, Astro PQ only improve a little.
Colours

1) Monster - 5 Star
2) QED - 4 Star
3) China Brand - 3 Star
4) Composite - 2 Star

I give my credit to Monster, the improvements is great. i don't have to Test much,
the results is very clear.
LG plasma panel is a bit yellowish if i'm not wrong, exspecially
The skin colour improve a lot, its now more natural.

one more thing, my tv is wall mounted, with 8 feet of length, i can rearrange all my gadgets easily.

Overall, quite happy with the this S-video cable.

for the HDMI, i don't have any device to test yet.
(still looking for a good set of home theater system)   Any Suggestions?

Ordered on Friday, received on Monday. Excellent service to you. Mine one is the latest Panasonic Plasma, PQ is considered good already, with the Monster cable, the picture look sharper. The diferrence is about 10-20% after you use the cable. It makes the difference. recommended cable expecially those who use LCD TV. The difference I believe is much more obvious.

DigiTech, I just notice that, Panasonic plasma got color matrix feature when use the component cable so that we can select the input format whether HD or SD. Have you test this before?
