Hi everyone. Pls add me in the list. Need some advice.
When I use the Opera browser to scroll a page left and right and around, it takes one second for the page to appear from the checkered background left and right. Is this normal if it has a fast processor? Also, I noticed only Opera 9.5 can do landscape mode when you turn the phone sideways? How come the IE cannot do landscape mode when I turn the phone sideways? Thank you everybody for any help Is this normal? |

This is normal. This is because Opera 9.5 did not preload the contents for that location so when you slide to that position, Opera has to load it. Now there's Opera 10, which has a lot of improvements over 9.5 IE does not support autorotate on some firmwares. Thanks Bluhound. How do I install Opera 10 into my Omnia 2? The software cd they gave cannot install on Win 7. Can't believe Samsung Msia so negligent. Also, what firmware can IE autorotate on the Omnia 2? |

QUOTE(bluhound @ Apr 6 2010, 08:43 PM) Go to Opera's website. It will guide you to install Opera Mobile 10 on your phone. done it. Opera 10 is great. But I still see the checkered page on either left or right for abt a second when i move the webpage around. This is despite the whole page already downloaded.http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/ Can't exactly remember which firmware does not support auto rotation for IE but I do know that its from the earlier IJ firmwares. mikehyw, you can see the icon on the top right of your omnia 2. If there is like a tower, with waves emitting on the icon, then you are using wifi. Other than that, if you don't see it, you will by defaulkt be using maxis wap/gprs or 3g.

No idea why people sing praises for the Omnia 2. I bought one few days ago and got rid of it within a week. Its so slow. I had no applications running nor installed any software.
So much of lag. It takes like 2 seconds to open anything. What a joke of a phone. Never seen anything so slow in my life. Even Nokia's RM90 phone can make an emergency phone call faster than this phone. When you open Opera, after you finish, and close, your Today page, at the top part disappears. A real joke. And Samsung Malaysia gives a CD that cannot even run on Windows 7. But Windows 7 launched months ago? This post has been edited by michaeltan1943: Apr 20 2010, 09:58 AM |
