1st Samsung Official WM 6.5.3 ROM Review

My small review of JD1 ROM:
- 1st Official Samsung WM 6.5.3 ROM.
- No more Alignment Issue.
- The most smoother Samsung WidgetPlus - no longer refresh the widget and jumping between each page is fluid and smooth.
- New Media Player, re-design with big and clear cover display (Similar with JC2) with better volumn control at left side volumn button.
- New Photo app as now it allow you to deselect folder you don't want to be display.
- Re-skin the calculator, must more better color than JC2.
- Re-skin of Samsung Keyboard which now suite better with theme and dialpad.
- Top header re-color, now is even much more better than JC2 which darker and better coloring.
- The Dice game is still the old one, why only Taiwan and Hong Kong preloaded with newer dice.
- New incoming call screen when device is unlock.
- New Opera Mobile 9.7 preloaded.
- More RAM available, now 152.13MB available.
- No issue displaying asian language.
- Samsung Main Menu & Cube 3D removed. Kinda miss it but is ok as it is pointless to having it.
- Larger Indicator has been remove and replace with default WM 6.5.3 one.

This ROM is by far the best ROM ever release by Samsung. Bravo! Samsung!

Usually you have to flash back to the old firmware for Malaysia before sending in for warranty.

IINM Malaysia ROM update is super duper slow. I know I was at IJ9 or something. Cant really remember.

OK, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough.

I was syncing before with Activesync. Now I suddenly cannot, when I plug in the Omnia, my PC doesn't react. I have also reinstalled Activesync, doesn't help.

I know that hard resetting will probably fix it, but am hoping for a better way. And no, my Notification Queue is fine, I checked already.

a few questions about the charger:

1. can I use Nokia N97 charger to charge the omina 2? coz its rated 1200mAh output, maybe can make it more faster to charge?

2. i'm looking for car charger and found the cheapest one at rm8. is it good? will it spoil the battery?

My friend's Omnia 2 having problem with the messaging..it hang and lag..how to overcome? please help..
Others thing normal..only when messaging..it needs to load very long time and sometimes typing message also hang..

Hidden PowerDic.lnk at Windows folder. (Why Samsung hide it?)

Below is the instruction to make PowerDic.lnk appear at Start Menu:

- Open Resco File Exporer 2010, click Menu --> Options --> General.
- Go to Browser tab, and make sure untick all.
- Copy the PowerDic.lnk from Windows to Windows\Start Menu\Programs using Resco File Explorer 2010.
- Right click the PowerDic.lnk and choose Properties.
- Untick Hidden (untick twice) at the Attributes.

Now you will seen the PowerDic appear at Start Menu.

Any idea which software i can use to transfer my sms into my computer, and read the messages on my computer? Thanks.

can someone give comment about this phone camera? is it just nice@good@great?
im planning to buy this phone..
