Garmin XT works like a charm  rclxms.gif

The initial lockdown might take a couple of minutes. However if you enable XTRA Server in the GPS setting, the lockdown could be shortened to less than 20 seconds. The data downloaded from XTRA Server is valid for 6-7 days before you need to re-download again. You can opt for the download via ActiveSyn when ur OII is connected to your PC with internet connection...

When you launch Garmin, at the top left hand corner, how many bar of GPS signal can you get?

Mine is always showing 1 or 2 bar only... always showing weak signal even though i have download the file via XTRA server....

just got my unit from PDA Expert (12 months warranty + extended warranty), although slightly expensive but i really trust those guys...

any problems or need software, just drop-by any PDA Expert store and they will be more than willing to assist.

RM2346 including 1 year extended warranty, actually RM2300 is enough... but i lazy to talk and talk and talk just to save RM46... biggrin.gif

the 1 year extended warranty covers screen, speaker, buttons, etc, basically hardware faults.

to the rest... really sorry to say this...

while waiting for my Omnia2 to be updated, I was playing with HTC Diamond 2 and HTC Touch HD, prices for these units drop, significantly.... i should say...

if you still prefer HTC, might give it a shot. thumbup.gif

if that is the case, why is there significant difference between units from FMG and Brightstar.

standard warranty by these two company are the same.

after upgrading to secany's latest ROM, the place where you normally download XTRA data for GPS has been changed to A-GPS. sad.gif
