Hello all. I'm new in this thread

I got problem with my Omnia 2 and KIES.
KIES didn't detect my omnia 2. Anyone know about this?
How to fix?
I wanted to copy from my galaxy S contacts to my omnia 2.
Few days ago I update my windows mobile from 6.1 to 6.5, so thats why I need to copy the contacts.

P/S: I'm using windows 7 64 bit ultimate. Is it because of 64 bit?

Just bought 6 days ago the galaxy s. It's perfect!! Nothing I don't like about it
Btw, my omnia 2 already set active sync mode. Even try to disable the advance network functionality. Still cant.
I read it somewhere that omnia 2 from HK, KIES cant detect it.
I bought it at HK airport. Why did they make it different

New pc studio is working great. From that I update my firmware.
I just want to use KIES for both my phones. So, easy to change contact/etc.

The latest version is not supported by windows 7..yet.
However, you are still able to use it on windows 7.
It just got 2 problems if you insist to install it on windows 7.

1. You will get a transparent box in the middle of the screen, and it won't close until you close the NPS.

2. You cannot close NPS by a close buttons, you must end task it with task manager.

Besides that, no problem at all. You still can sync phonebook, etc.

Are you using windows 7 ultimate? If so, you can use NPS using windows XP mode in windows 7 and install it in there and its work great.

Problem with new laptop.. nowadays all laptops come with win 7.

You are so lucky. My kies also version 1.5 but kies cant detect my omnia 2

What kind of security you put there? I mean the Network Authentication.
On Omnia 2, you manual configure or automatic configure it?

I've this issue too and I email samsung. I thought after update to 6.5 windows mobile, the wireless signal is problem. I read it somewhere, many people got problem with their omnia 2 wireless. So I thought mine got problem too.

After so many try configure my modem and omnia 2, last night I finally can use in my house wireless.

Go through wireless place when there is "Tap here to turn on Wi-Fi", you know, the circle in the middle of the screen there.

When you click, there is several or your modem only beside it.
Click your modem circle button.
In there you can manually configure about the security/IP address.
Your security type must be same with your modem.

In your case, you are auto config, so its find itself.

Yeah, its modem problem. You need to reset your modem after changing security type.
I thought click apply button is enough but no. Need to reset the modem.
I reset through Management>reboot in my modem settings.
