Hi everyone, new Omnia 2 user here I'm interested in flashing a new version of the firmware to my phone, and tried d/ling the Octan's D/loader as well as the stable uncooked ROM, (I8000XXIJ6, if I remember correctly), but Rapidshare's server doesn't allow me to d/l it at all. Can anyone share a copy of Octan's (or any other similar software to flash the Omnia 2's firmware) with a newbie?

Hi people, After much rummaging around on the Internet, I managed to get the Octan's downloader and the ROM (I8000XXIJ6) to flash it with. It was all ok until it reached the Language Setup screen (where there was a warning not to turn it off, as it takes about 10 minutes). However, the screen seems to be stuck at this stage even way after 10 mins. I really don't know what to do next. I can't even turn off the phone to retry flashing the firmware again. Do I take the battery out to turn it off and reflash the ROM? Please advise.

After much waiting, I just did a soft reset by using the stylus on the back of the phone and reflashed the same ROM, but this time, I unchecked the box that says 'Do not erase "My Storage" content'. Luckilly, this worked and restored my phone's functions. Just wanted to share with any of the newer users who might be confused as I was
