- i found the messenger interface was slowww... and this is one of the very few items which i do not like about, is there any way to revert back to the basic messaging interface?

Wah! you post everywhere this question. Ops!
Give u agains the answer

What is your firmware version. The messenger interface has great improvement on since IK? firmware. The best is under IL2 firmware.

Go download the cab file below to install the google map.

thanks andrewtst for the feedback.
my firm ware version as the following, is there any newer (and more stable off course!) firmware available?
I8000NXXIJ9
I8000XSOIJ2
I8000DXIJ1

to add on, apart from the samsung wedget lagging, the rest are good, camera is good, viewing the video and picture were superb due to the amoled screen. radio is good too. battery life was just great, normal use with less wifi can last me for 3 days.

thus far, i am very happy with this phone, just hope that it doesn't broke down easily..

rgds,

my call suration is less then 45 minutes perday, sms about 50. listening to radio but seldom viewing the video and playing songs. no wifi also. basically use more like a normal phone.

but if i used the above items, i will be able to get not more then 2 days, which is still good.

i wonder why the official samsung side do not have any such new ROMS available for upgrade, is all this ROM are official/certified?

i am just afraid that if there are any problem occurs during/after the upgrade, it will be a problem to revert it back to the original ROM..

Rgds

andrewtst,
very interesting upgrades.. i am tempting to upgrade it too. but how do we revert back to the original state if we do not like it, or if the upgrade was fail? need to send back to the service center?

does the upgrade increase the responsiveness of the sms trade? the current sasmsung sms trade was hopeless, very slow and lagging.
