I'm learning on how to flash my phone. I read somewhere that we need a different base rom?
What would you recommend me to do? Quite lost here =x

So we can just straight flash it to this latest release? Cause I do remember reading about the need to flash the phone to other firmware first.

I agree.
Apart from the hardware, there are some serious developments going on to improve the software side of Omnia II. |

A tool to sort contact. I never tried this but found it just now. I remember someone was in need for this. |

I have a question here.
Which type of memory card is for our phone? Thinking of getting the 8GB one here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/322480 but don't know which class is better for OII. |

I've updated with secany's latest ROM but then the threaded SMS seems not right. It groups the message I received in one thread and the message that I sent in another. So, in my inbox I have 2 threads, one is from the sender and one is to the sender. Any fix for this? Edit: Oh my bad..I manually replied the messages. I just have to continue as in IM. @ lord
It's actually pretty easy to do a self upgrade. Just did mine last night. I am usimg SG set btw. @ yeapsc73 I believe the hardware supports 16M but then the 64k is the limit of WM6.1. I also read that WM6.5 fixed the limitation but I'm not so sure about this. Correct me if I'm wrong. This post has been edited by faidz85: Oct 18 2009, 11:20 PM |

I believe so that you will void the warranty. But then, you can revert back to your original firmware provided that you didn't brick your Omnia II yet. |

There are stock ROM all over the net. Just remember yours and get them ready at all times just in case you need in the future.
And btw, RM2k for a SG set is overpriced IMO. You could get an FMG set with that price. |

Err. I'm not sure about you but I saw my original ROM somewhere before. Though I'm not particularly worried about it.
Try googling your ROM number. |
