Dude, look at the extra features available, and decide if its worth it. If i am not mistaken, this lcd can play mkv and divx files directly via the USB, and that alone mayb worth the entry price (but u can get a WDTV media player for RM400, so yet another option for u).I m in a middle of dilemma now in choosing between Samsung LA40B650 or LG 42LH70.

However, if the RM600 is much pain for u, i will say going bigger is better as its cheaper. You will prolly not notice the diff, as 2 inch diagonal will mean only 0.5in extra in height and width of yr screen only. Dont look at the external dimensions la....
Best way to decide, bring yr own DVD, and test both screen using the same scene. I doubt you will be able to tell the size diff..... good luck.
