Yea but how do you lock if you are travelling outside Malaysia when you do not have access to the A-GPS server?

It's a bro. Well these few days, connection is a bugger. Now improve a lot. But still wary of it, anyhow 've reinstalled back NSU and waitin' for the perfect time. This is killing me. If you use GPS a lot it is advisable not to upgrade to V30. It is not worthwhile. How I wish my firmware can be downgraded from V30 to V21. Now can only hope for improvement in V40. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 19 2009, 08:59 PM) No no. That was my reply to Vandechrome who in post #411 was asking whether my advice to people using GPS not to upgrade firmware to V31 was because of battery consumption.FYI Matrix in post#453 reported that he managed to lock in 15 sec after upgrading and hard reset. I have my doubt. There are many complaints in Nokia Support Discusssions too about Nokia 5800's GPS locking problems after upgrading to V31. The discussions in that forum are more in depth and technical and comes from people all over the world. I am not criticizing anyone in this forum but I think some people tend to say things without giving much thought. However LYNet forums are more localized and discussions about hardwares and accessories are more applicable to us. This may be of interest to GPS user :- http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discus...thread.id=12868 This post has been edited by khokk: Sep 19 2009, 09:53 PM |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Sep 20 2009, 11:04 AM) Yeah, i suspect this could be a possible scenario, after more testing. Thanks for providing some USEFUL info(and Ataraxis too). Unlike some people who simply tok without adding any useful info for sharing. I have a feeling you are still mad thinking that I was criticizing you. I already stated in my posting that I wasn't criticizing anyone. If my generalized statement offended you, I am sorry. Please accept my humble apolgy. I join this forum to share and learn and not to make enemies. Since you seem to be very keen about GPS you should look at the Nokia Discussions website I mentioned in my posting if you have not already done so. Cheers. |
