QUOTE(Da_Shiang @ Oct 6 2009, 03:12 PM) anyone facing problems connecting to internet (wifi) with opera 5 mini beta and ebuddy? try checking @ settings > app mgr > installed apps.my other internet based app such as gravity and default browser could select and connect to internet flawlessly. unless the apps are java stuffs, usually they will have suite settings, just hover around to your desired app and choose options, select suite settings |

@lilvamp : check at the box whether TV OUT is still supported or not. There have been discussions before that newer models doesn't support TV OUT anymore :| (probably Nokia's way of marketing style, giving more features for n97, perhaps? )

i don't think it's possible. unless u know got tube circuit diagram/schematics. then maybe, maybe. u can go tweak2 here and there and enable back the tvout feature. i do think it's just some hardwiring, since should it be in the firmware, everyone else (including ppl who bought tube earlier this year like me) will also not have the tvout feature.

@elvman.
yep agreed. i don't think we're really left behind. it's just that they keep on coming with new stuff like x6 and maemo n900 that we might look a little pushed aside. though, still waiting for a n97-like homescreen for tube. hopes nokia hear this well (well.. i know there's a lot of ppl asking nokia to do this ald hahaha) |

QUOTE(Isabell @ Oct 8 2009, 01:14 AM) har? u so early sleep meh? Internet connection won't really kill ur batt fast, unless u're using symtorrent or any other app which is receiving/sending data in real time. Internet is basically just ask, get, stop. Only in real-time app or downloading that it will keep on asking/getting data which drains the battery energy is gathering this time, i confirm go. so, on or not? not necessary we'll be discussing about 5800. just come out yumcha or share apps also can.. v41? then maybe have to wait until like next year 3rd quarter? Added on October 8, 2009, 1:19 am i think you're referring to the status of your GPRS. i don't know if it eats up your battery but i'm pretty sure it'll eat up your credit. GPRS is like what the previous guy say, it means you're connected to the internet. Added on October 8, 2009, 12:21 pm QUOTE(anzen600 @ Oct 8 2009, 11:45 AM) haiya.. why so many ppl ask same question like this.not to bash anyone, but i thought there's a note at the back of the box already answering such questions. Why ask again? Never ending loop... This post has been edited by carbonytte: Oct 8 2009, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(riazorblues @ Oct 8 2009, 12:26 PM) Rileks la bro, not all ppl know, so thats why they ask here.. i know. but ppl who ask are eventually people who just bought the tube. and on the box it is already stated that tv-out is no longer supported. so why the rush to ask if u would already know the answer just by reading the box carefully. even when i first bought tube, i read through the whole manual.and our jobs is to helps rite.. cheers man.. our jobs would be to share on our experiences and helping people who faced any situations we faced before~ anyway, 5800 doesn't have manget for compass rite? no wonder the compass touch doesn't seems to work. so much for being awake throughout yesterday night figuring out why the compass doesn't work |

QUOTE(kain_kapan @ Oct 8 2009, 04:30 PM) can we set the resolution for games that use virtual joystick try removing the game keys. go to settings > app mgr > installed app > [app u wanna change] > options > suite settings > on-screen keyboard (choose nagiv. keys only)coz usually we cannot see the full screen for the games or if the app is a fully touchscreen, u can just disable the OSK. QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Oct 9 2009, 08:48 AM) Erm sorry for asking *video codec* question again... I dunno where to ask this. coz they're actually running in b/g. if not then how possible to make the message to warn u when there's a message coming in. and bla3. I converted some videos using mediacoder, the settings are: MP4 XVid, 768 kbps, 640x360 resolution, 128kbps mp3 But no matter what type of video i play in my tube (be it a performance show or a anime) the video will lag after a period playing it. Not only one video, it's every video. It will lag somehow and if i pause it and continue playing it's be ok, but after a few moments it lags again. Anyway to solve this? Or is there other settings/converter which can convert high quality but lagless video? So far mediacoder converts to a good quality but it lags... even in lower bitrate. Thx in advance. I also have this problem, when i check with handy taskman they're still running at the background eating my RAM.. How leh sifu? |
