Hi everyone, I'm thinking of creating an alipay acc so I can order stuff from taobao but I'm still a bit unsure of how the payment methods work. By using Visa, must our Visa be issued from a China bank which is support by alipay only or can it be issued from any international banks (eg. Maybank ...)

Also, may I know how safe it is to conduct payment through alipay? I've read alot about it and all articles say it's very secure but I'd like to get direct first-hand feedback from people who have actually dealt with alipay/taobao.

It's not convenient for us Malaysian to use Alipay to buy product from Tao Bao, you can contact an agent from China to help you buy it from tao bao then send it to you in Malaysia, they will apply certain charge but I think it's reasonable. If you wish to buy anything from tao bao you can contact me, me and my friend is setting up a firm to help people buy things from tao bao and other china C2C website.

for my sugestion, u can check the shop owner email or contact detail, and ask for thier bank account at china, then use malaysia bank transfer, to pay money for them and gt the product.

You need to have a local address at China in order to register for it. I believe delivery only within China.

get a paypal > login alipay > register alipay and merge with paypal > find a warehouse(agent) > pay taobao's seller the item you purchase > send to warehouse > warehouse send to Malaysia.

This takes minimum of 5 working days.

The fastest way is to order from taobao agent. Since taobao can not accept foreign Credit Card, you need to find a reliable taobao agent. As my suggestion, smalltao is better than other site. It is reliable becuase i can accept Paypal lol
