QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 25 2009, 10:13 AM)
Loan stock alone is always not attractive one, normally will open below its par as well and highly illuquid. It the the free warrant the sweeten the deal or compensate the potential loss in loan stocks.

Having said that, if one really want to own the company mothershare, instead of buying the mothershare directly, the loan stocks can be better option, as you get a fixed 4% yield compared to mothershare (which might not give any dividend). But loan stock never will be a goreng target, so don't expect it will be gorenged like mothershare. But loan stock price generally trading at slight discount to the mothershare as punters don't interest in it.

Thanks for the explanation. Trying very hard to digest tongue.gif がんばれます!

Although it is not foolproof, at least look at its ability to give dividend from its profit as one of indicator of company financial health.

OilCrop never gives dividend if not mistaken.

A good piece of advise. Will need to do a lot of 'studying' to avoid having 'heart attack' tongue.gif

Well from previous encounters and many other uncles whom have bought penny stocks before me... their advise have been golden to me...

Simple rule of thumb:
1. Never buy anything below RM 1. (there 925 counters 33 are PN 17, why Penny Stocks? - i know ptential returns and bla bla.. if really interested in Small Cap or Penny Stock.. try Unit Trust instead - PB Small Cap maybe?)
2. Buy reputable companies.
*
Hmm .. thank you to all the sifus, jie jie, kor kor here with the input. Will compile and write a book out of it .. 'Lowyat Art of Trading' maybe? tongue.gif

Really appreciate all the info and advise here ... みんあ、ありがとうございます notworthy.gif
