yeah the fake v5s language are in japanese but sold with english packaging.

hmm tried out 1 of the digimon online game..but quite hard to get extra digimon partners, have to catch them and chance is very low. unless use cash shop item, 100% catch but have to pay x.x

The ICs that are sold in the local shops now are the US version Data Link. It's the only english version available. Gameplay follows the animes, digimon reverts back to rookie after battles.

Japanese ICs are simliar to the Vpets, 1 egg, few rookies>champions etc

Both have a colloseum in-game, it advances your digimon's growth making it able to digivolve to higher evolutions.

D-Arks aren't available locally, you have to buy it online or best go to Japan itself

Not sure about it being better or not yet. Haven't really tried. But D-Arks and D-Powers have several different starter digimons depending on which version you have.

Anyway I'm planning to make a blog on all available digivices when I can...a lot of them has past through my hands and have quite a few pics of them



I'm not sure about the fading problem, as I've not encountered that yet.. I think. I've encountered the digimon reseting after hatching, but change of battery helps.

About placing paper in the digivice, maybe the circuit board isn't screwed on properly? Just open it and tighten it and see.

Not sure if this helps, but I had the low angle view with one of mine too. Really got me concerned as it was the V6 vpet.

I opened it and cleaned it with a cotton bud. It had some beach sand i think, it looked like sand + salt in it from the previous owner. But it's fine now that the circuit area's been cleaned.

Seems to be copies of the mini figures. As the original were released in 4 sets of 5 figures. Cool though all in one package! Are figures ok? Not out of proportion? As I had some mini pokemon figures but one of them wasn't original and character proportion was out(not to mention can't stand on its own).

It's more of a digidex version of a pokedex, similar to d-gather.
D-terminal's digimons are based on the season 1 anime and d-gather's based on the season 3 anime.

pendulum cycle series were never released in Malaysia. You can only find it overseas. cost unknown.

Well, our main supplier for anything digimon was Litt Tak, but it seems that they focus mainly on Gundam items now.

From what I can remember, they mass - brought Digimon vpet version 1 to Malaysia and hardly any in between season 1- 5. Till now, with the 6th season of digimon toys, but even so there was hardly any news/publicity about it.

But I do recall seeing a few Digimon Tamers(season 3) digimon character toys in Toys R Us. The vpet v2 - pendulums that popped up were mostly in brought in by smaller game/toy shops, hence the scarcity of them.

This is all based on my own observation within KL, it could be different in your area.

It's actually not surprising that Digimon toys are scarce here, there's no one that brought them in or really publicized Digimon. Who would bring in something which has no confirmed marketability?

There may be hidden and/or previous fans of Digimon, but without putting wood to fire, it eventually dies down. This is the case with Digimon here.

As for the digimon for mobile, it's possible to battle another mobile digimon via infra-red.

FYI, there is actually an arcade Digimon machine in Japan that connects to the mobile phone via infra-red to battle. It is also the reason why
the new digivice ic/data link are now using infra-reds to connect to each other instead of the old prong connectors.

The digivice ic can be used to battle the Digimon arcade machine.

That's only true for the Japanese versions. For English Versions ie. Pendulum Cycle, your best bet is ebay.

If you mean have to take care from egg and evolve into higher evolutions then yes. that's a vpet. but uses infra red to battle, compatible with ic and other twins only.(not sure if it works for data link)
