Just wondering, for those of you using projectors do you also use a UPS? This is to provide backup power in case of electricity blackout, then the fans can still operate to cool down the unit.
2 months ago, I was halfway watching a movie when the power went out. Made me think about a UPS...

Thankfully nothing happened to my projector. I don't expect that it will burn or anything, just that the lamp life might be shortened.

better check what type of UPS u using.. some are offline, online type, some crappy waveform voltage output and some give you full sine wave output.. I use server grade UPS by APC, got nice sine wave output.. .. got 3 units but battery kong already didn't change them yet.. Added on September 15, 2009, 10:05 pmheard some crappy ones will kill your equipment faster also This post has been edited by ar188: Sep 15 2009, 10:05 PM
