instead of giving her a flower..

just get her something tht she likes..

Hmm, it's a bit difficult because she is someone who literally got no preference with anything. She can be fine with anything as well. What are some things in general that people would gift to their other half during valentines day other than flowers ?

H, especially during such occasion, and also due to COVID-19, to be frank, money is quite tight for me, so would like some suggestions on what I could get for her ?

If you worry about money, that means its not the right time to have a gf.

Handmade gifts would be the most touching one. On the other hand, you also can test whether this girl wants you to spend more for her, or more of homemaking girl.

If it wasn't for lockdown, I'd buy experience for my date like a museum visit or go to an amusement park.

You can start simple, buy good-smelling fresh flowers or chocolates or play it safer, buy her a drink (coffee or bubble tea).

I found this if you wanna do something diy. Cheers, TS.

Since it is such a short time from when you officially get together to V day, then just anything thoughtful would do...even just a card or e card.

Could be just me, but its the thought that matters...

Hi our anniversary is coming around the corner, less than 30 days...

Any ideas? We are in LDR atm..

I wanted something practical with a touch of personalization..like maybe a gadget with a personal gift card..

Budget less than RM200

Print out all the pictures of you two together, stick each on a cardboard, bind them to make a handmade photo book,
at the opposing empty side, write the story tht happened for each photo that you all took. (where you all took the pic, what you all did there, how you felt about the place and about the 2 of you)

pretty low budget, but will take some time and effort to make and furnish.
it also shows that you cherish the moments spent together.

I think personal preferences matters a lot, so consider selecting a few and ask her to decide on one. It kills the surprise on the big day, but you'll save the trouble of returning the gift if she doesn't like it. It's also possible she might want a different kind for different/formal occasions, so no harm asking her to find out more.

I'm using one from Charles and Keith, been 3+ years I think, leather still looking good.

Thanks for the advice, so u think it's better in general to ask about her opinion first rather than surprise her when it comes to wallet ? Will take a look at charles & keith too.

I think for wallet, it's all about personal preference.

Some major consideration include whether you need coin pouch or not (zipper), how many card slots required, long wallet or short wallet, slim or bulky.

There is also trend of using chain wallet which can also be used like small sling bag especially now that we're using mobile for many e-payments these days, our wallets are getting slimmer in size.

If your gf cares about the brand, then I would say the choice then depends on your budget. Charles & Keith is a good start, Bonia is a local brand with reasonable pricing that looks good, following would be Kate Spade and then luxury brands.

These days brands don't specialise in one type of wallet. But if your gf is someone who doesn't care about brand but functionality, you can checkout Bellroy which seems to be designed for minimalist.
