Hi guys, coming december will be my 12th Anniversary with my boyfriend. I ran out of ideas of what to plan for us to do, since financial is getting tighter. Wanted to do something carefree and able to get our minds off work for this coming anniversary.

Dear all sifu out there. Please spare some great ideas of yours.

thank you

Just thinking well well in advance before the next occasion to buy a gift for my bf.

Can someone give me some ideas on what to get for my bf? No wallets, belts, perfumes, cufflinks, watch and ties. He's 40, so no cutesy stuff. He doesn't do much sports anymore and his interest is F1 (he watches the race on tv but not a fan enough to wear any merchandise) and superbikes (buying him a jacket, helmet or gloves would involve bringing him along for fitting).

I think there are less gift ideas for guys than girls; cos for girls, you can get necklaces, handbags, plush toys and tons of other impractical things that she doesn't need haha

Get a transparent glass bottle from Living Cabin RM15
Get a pack of chocolate stone fill them into the bottle. RM 20

and wrap it with present paper and send it to her. It may sounds simple but to a girl who is craving for chocolate every night, is more effective that everything could be.

Tell her this: I might not be able to be by your side in every single minute and I know you feel missing me so easily too. If you ever miss me whenever I am not around you, take one of this and that shows how much you miss me too smile.gif

a gift idea thread, what a relief blush.gif

december will be coming, our 1st anniversary and also her birthday sweat.gif

i am not really good with this kinda thing, previously only choc or teddy for exes when i was young

now i am married with little more budget with nothings in mind

criteria:

- want 2 gifts, 1 for anniversary, 1 for birthday cry.gif
- previously drooling over microsoft surface but she said it is not a priority ( is this a hint?)
- no jewellery, i bought rings and bracelet as wedding gift already, maybe pandora will be acceptable?
- as i can see she is not really a practical kinda woman, as long it is a gift she'll accept it

what else? hmm.gif

just please give any idea you guys can think of notworthy.gif

p.s: i just hope she'll agree to buy disney infinity 2.0 collectors edition set for me as the anniversary gift laugh.gif

If you can get Pandora, you can give a different charm for each gift, one that has meaning to the event as well.

Otherwise, just go window shopping with her and see what she likes. It's very easy to give girls gift, it's harder to get guys gift though.

Tbh i hv no idea the exact cost for pandora set, may you enlighten me? blush.gif

Maybe around 2k or something? Iinm charm will cost rm2++ each depends on the charm itself right?

If i go shopping with her it wouldnt be a surprise anymore, right?

You get the bracelet first, then only add on the charms. You don't need to get many many charms one shot, can always add on later.

Just walk in to any Pandora outlet or do a search online. I'm also not too sure the exact price but if your budget is RM2k for each present, then it will be enough.

Not buy her things when she is out shopping with you. Take note of what she likes or touch or sees, then go and buy it on another day and give it to her.

normally if the girl really loves the guy, she would look and pretend shes not interested...and normally her acting is so good, till u wont know shes into it or not!

example:
she looks at dresses, touches most of them, and walks out of the store...the bf asks "found anything u like?"
"nope. just browsing."

in that scenario, how u know if she liked any of the dress or not?
if u assume:
1. she likes those dresses, takkan u buy all of them?
2. u assume shes not into those dresses, nx day she goes there to buy them pulak!
3. if u buy a dress for her, she will scold u for wasting money lk that...

NOTE:
the above scenario uses dress as example...in real life, it may not be a dress...might be accessories/ shoes/ handbags/ etc...

Also note:
yeah...im in that dilemma all the time....haha...my gf never asks me to buy things for her...if i buy for her anyway, i get scolded for wasting money...but she prefers buying things with her own money.

Any present is great especially it is coming from the heart. Best if it represents both of you and share good memories together. Different people have wants different gifts, but the trick is to find what the other person wants. If you cannot at least find something that represents you both or that represents great memories together.

If budget is the challenge, may just get a normal one. Casio is a good choice. Look at the designs and see what do you think he might like. There are so many out there. Does he like classic or digital and so forth. Look at what kind of work he does also helps.

I made 1000 paper cranes for a girl I liked.
Each with it's own unique, personal message inside.
I did about 30 pieces+ every single day, about 2 hours
+ each. Finally finished after a month.

Then bought a plastic cookie tupperware, ate all the
biscuits, and filled it with my cranes after taking the
stickers out.

Gave it to her and just left immediately.
Forgot to say "hope your wish this year comes true."

... she still has it with her and reads it occasionally. She's dating
someone else now though haha.
