I am not very familiar with the LCD spec etc, but i am in the market for a 32" or 40" LCD tv right now. Could you recommend me a LCD which give the best bang for money? BTW, I am not keen on Korean brand such as LG and Samsung.

I went to the shop yesterday and bought a 32AV600E Toshiba. kevin was not there, and I was served by his wife (she told me and I didn't get her name). A very friendly lady and always willing to serve.

However, I only realise now the price quoted here for 32AV600E Toshiba is only RM12xx. while i actually pay RM13xx. At that time I did mention to the lady about the price advertised here, and she told me it is the same price as advertised. I guess it is my bad that I actually don't remember the price quoted here. And I even pick up the goods with my own car and install it myself since I live 5min away from the shop anyway (as I believe the price quoted here is inclusive of delivery and installation). A bit disappointed but what can i say. Unless kevin here feel bad enouf to compensate me with something

Anyhow, I just hope my newly bought LCD TV will not give me any problem whatsoever.

just like to ask... with my newly bought Toshiba 32R600 LCD TV, when watching normal channel (i don hav astrol), sometime, the sound volume will suddenly bcome louder, is this normal?

Also, sometime, the picture will be like not full screen, mean have black bar on upper and lower screen. I notice this happen when during the change in advestisement... meaning 1 advertisement maybe is full screen, then the next advrtisement maybe is not full screen. Normal?

Tq Kevin for answering me. I think the black bar is normal just as you said. It is just the sudden increase of sound volume that is a bit annoying. During a night of watching maybe like 3-4 hour, the sudden increase of sound would probably happen 2-3 times. Do you think this fenomena warrant a call to Toshiba and ask for inspection?
