Hi All,

Need some advise on this, my son is 8 yr old and I want to buy him a console. Which would you all recommend and which will have more game suitable for a 8 yr. old?

Xbox360 got a lots of game for kids actually I think, can get it by downloading from the XBL Marketplace thumbup.gif by the way MiNI Ninja is a good game and it is Multiplatform thumbup.gif

i think for a 8 y old .. u should get a wii .. y ? cos can make ur son be a bit active .. play game like wii sports can move ur son body .. not like other Game console .. sit playing games without moving = make us chubby and can turn to couch potato whistling.gif

PS3... get him some games like zuma, the last guy or littleBigPlanet...
when he's at school/asleep/co-curriculum activities...U'll have the console for your own gaming bliss tongue.gif

if you don't want your son to fail all his school exams and be a video game addict, then you better buy him the encyclopedia brittanica instead of a console.

u r 1 cool dad. just take ur kid to the shop and ask him which one he like the best. show him the games , see what he picks up. make it fun for him , make sure u involve him into the decision making of which console to buy , in the end , its for ur kid.


p.s: buy NDSi for the kid. make sure he dont bring to school , later kene rampas by cikgu or worse , kene curi.

Most games on both platforms are more adult oriented so I'd say get neither. A PS2, Wii or better NDS is more suitable for kids as they have more friendly/educational games.

buy xbox360 if u want to save ur money on the long term. kids doesnt appreciate the value of exclusive title and satisfaction yet.lol.

Hi guys,

Thank for all your input thumbup.gif . Sorry for not mentioning to you all earlier, my son had alreday a PS2, PSP, NDS & WII. So basically now I only had the choice of either a PS3 or XBox 360.

BTW, I think the funstation is a bit too childish for him.

I think I will get him a XBox due to more game choice and cheaper smile.gif

I'd suggest wii.Most of the game are good for the learning and educational purposes(for an 8 year old kid).Some more most of the games are family oriented game unless you want your kid to spend more times playing game alone in the house without disturbing you.
