I am a sunway student currently studying in ACCA... Any questions???

Well, I say take the college most convenient to you... sunway ACCA classes are BIG, i mean it could well reach a hundred students in one class for famous subjects... lecturers are known to be well known but that should only be in the higher level... but if u ask my personal opinion.. IT'S ALL THE SAME... getttin into sunway doesn't make u pass easier... it still come down to ourself... i personally don't find sunway really tat good either, aside having the premier plus status in which i don't tink it really reflects on the quality of the education as well... if u are hardworking and intelligent enuff, u might even be able to pass the paper on ur own... called self study... well, tat's all i hv to say i guess... any more question to ask feel free to do so..

ACCA examination is beginning TOMORROW... wish everybody GOODLUCK... well, wish me also, cause I am also sitting for it.. Sigh, byk tension...

Premier plus is a status given by ACCA to tuition provider in recognising their quality. It is the highest possible award and sunway is the first tuition provider outside europe to obtain it followed by ipg. It has to meet a stringent set of criteria and continue to do so, failure to comply with the criteria will result in the recognition been taken back. So far, sunway is still able to meet the criteria..

Do you know what is ACCA world passing rate??? Scary...

Hehe, sorry to scare but if you are smart, you will definitely pass with ease, comparing to other professional course such as CIMA and ICAEW, ACCA is rather easy. Well, not to sure about the new syllabus but it looks as though ACCA is adopting an approach rather similiar to ICAEW according to my lecturer. But, put it this way, I have friends who sat for ACCA in 2.1,2.2,2.3 and pass all of it but is struggling with a degree paper in UK. So, to me, ACCA is hard and easy at the same time... depending on how you look at it...

Haha, u got 2.4 mah... Have to wait till the last day of ACCA exam only u can merdeka... cham cham, but on da bright side, more chance to study..

Wah 2.2 is a dead shit paper, hate it so much!! I think he got a degree so got exemption on most of the paper...

2.1 lecturer in sunway is handsome, yau ying, smart, intelligent, funny and best of all good. His name is Mr. Dinesh... He teach paper 3.4 also, which is the highest passing rate among the optional paper. I love his lecture during 2.1 but my friends say in 3.4 it's boring.. well, the subjects is full with borin stuff i guess...

Haha, READ pass year... simple as that... the question will most 100% repeat each year... so you might be able to predict it.. U do need to study all the subject to pass, last time i study company, contract, legal system and agency only. I gave up on da text book and end up memorisin past year anwsers after I compile all the similiar question and came out with my own best anwser...

I am still very much in ACCA... doing 3.1 and 3.2. sigh. Tomorrow will be my opening ceremony in my exam,

3.2 is sad case la. My worst paper that I ever sat for. But well this year 3.4 suddenly they say very hard. My friend who sat for it said that it's even harder than 3.2.

ACCA this year seems hard. At least to me.

Just reread and suddenly found out that u just finish core.Post being edited . My friend has yet to report work but according to her and her stories, she doesn't seem to please to work there. Ok, my friend has done a little research from her friends and it seems that EY has the best working environment. PWC has a lot of "politics" going on but it's like everybody's no.1 choice. But she is able to get in to KPMG cause her cousin was asked by the partner to recommend some names . Anyway, why not try it out if you got the chance.

According to my lecturer, the first 6 months of your time will be spent on mastering on how to photostat. Even if you come in as a fresh grad, you will still be a junior and only be able to handle cheap stuff. So basically, I think everybody in a way start out as a trainee... but I'm not too sure about it. Anyway, it's not that everyone can enter the big 4.

Hmmm, a fresh grad entering the big 4 will usually get RM2100 according to my lecturer, current market rate, but some might be lower a little, probably around RM2000 too. Wah, how come everybody talk like the big 4 so easy to enter liddat

yeah, we have so much hierarchy in this industry from the big 4 to the second tier to local accountin firm... haha

Now to think of it, i wonder when will the government introduce audit exemption.

they might use to do that, but now everybody is eligible to sit for the exam. Haha imagine in sunway, you sit for 3 exams in 6 months. Progress Test, Mock, Finals. I do believe that it's the student effort that contribute to the good grades in sunway.

Accordin to statistics of sunway student, if you're able to get through part 2, you most likely succeed in passin ACCA. Most of the students are stuck in the initial stages of part 2 especially.
