Oh,so it depends on how well you do in Part 1 and 2?Okay...so that means even if the thesis is lousy, still can get the degree?Really that easy?

I just became an ACCA student this July, currently in Part 1.I need your opinions on taking 4 papers per sitting in part 2.Is it wise to do so?I hear Part 2 is really difficult.I am thinking of it so I can finish up ACCA before Dec 2007...when the syllabus will be changed. So please give me your opinions.

Hi there ..

I would like to ask you guys that are taking ACCA ..

I've just finish my STPM last Nov, science-stream student, as I'm not sure how my results will turn out, I'm actually thinking of taking ACCA if my results aren't gonna get me any good courses in IPTA.

So my question is, I do not have any accounting background before, meaning I never took them when I'm at Form 4 and Form 5. Would it be a problem if I take ACCA ? Is it it'll be teach from the very basic of accounting ? Please help me clear my doubt as I'm concern about my future ..

Thanks in advance ..

Don't need to worry about not having an accounting background.I faced the same dilemma as you earlier this year while waiting for my STPM result.I've just completed my Part 1 ACCA.Waiting for exam result now.Part 1 of ACCA will teach you the basics of accountancy. As long as you're willing to learn something new, you'll do fine. You could take CAT before going to ACCA,but CAT has got 9 papers.Part 1 only has 3 papers to sit.And once you pass Part 1 or CAT,you will progress to Part 2.But in CAT,you are required to pass all papers before progressing to Part 2.While in Part 1,you might fail a paper but will still be able to progress to Part 2 of ACCA.
