bt i tink u can get scholarships 4 ur CAT....duno whether they gv u free accomodation o not....bcz u wil reciv rm 8000 scolarships........tat is more than ur CAT tuition fee wic is around rm 6,800........

cat-acca cost : i dunno .. i taking acca part 1 instead of cat
scholarship : with your results i'm sure they will give you scholarship but you have to apply as there's a limit to the number of scholarship given out .. so first come first serve basis i guess .. but if i ain't wrong the scholarship application will only be considered when you've enrolled yourself here .. you can't ask them to guarantee you the scholarship prior to ur enrollment here in sunway

housing rental : for hostel, both the apartment and condo rent price is stated at sunway's website (www.sunway.edu.my), do browse it. anyhow the cheapest for apartment hostel is rm200, 4 ppl sharing. cheapest for condo is like 420 or 440 (i forgot), 2 ppl sharing. both no aircon. but honestly the hostel rental is kinda expensive. for outside accomodation the nearest 1 is lagoonview condo (even nearer than sunway condo) but it's kinda expensive, at least above 600-800 for a single room. then there's palmville condo, few minutes walking distance from sunway cllg. the rent shld be about the same lagoonview (not very sure about the price sorry). if you think it's expensive you can opt to stay at lagoon perdana apartment which by walking distance is around 15 minutes i guess. but there are regular bus heading to and from sunway so no worry about transportation. 80 cent per trip if i ain't wrong. going to sunway is abit troublesome cos it ain't heading to there straight, but heading to lagoon perdana is a straight route. so i have frens staying there that rather walk to sunway cllg rather than waiting for the bus to make multiple stops before stoping at sunway cllg. rent is cheap there around rm300 for a single room. if you want streamyx and aircon then it's probably around rm350-450. if for a whole unit it's rm650 without furnish and rm1200 for fully furnish. alternatively there are other apartments here as well, like spectrum apartment n etc which is still around sunway but just not tat popular. or then you can opt to live at housing area. meaning renting a room in a house. the price is cheaper like that. my friend who rented one, his rent is just rm280. but bear in mind if you stay there it means no social life as there's no college mate to hang out with. it's be very very boring. trust me as my friend is starting to die soon out of boringness. seriously !

living expenses : you mean food right ? well it's not that expensive actually although ppl do say that everything is expensive in sunway. at the side gate of the college there are a few restaurants. all is within student's budget. i would say for a meal if minus drink will cause you rm3.50 to rm4.50 usually if you eat economical rice (the one where you select few dishes to your plate plus rice). if you don't wanna eat rice you can eat noodle, kui teow or etc , around rm3.50 to rm5 i would say.

i think that's about what i can conclude. do ask more if you need more information. but actually i just started my class here less than 2 months so i hope my infomation can help.

The official ACCA Malaysia website says the entry requirements are 2 A Levels, which means 2 passes in A Levels. But Sunway's website say at least 2 credits. So which is true?

the acca website is the official entry requirement,however i get to know that certain college do apply more stricter entry requirement to maintain the quality i guess...
as long as u fulfil the acca requirement,register as a student will not be a problem,however this does not necessary mean no problem to enter certain college.

i am sunway student, but i dun rely on sunway's notes...it's shit..
i use kasturi notes...even i don't enter the class...it's so well prepared...the lecturers are good...
and about scholarship,i suggest you to go to information centre and search about it..
whoever is really determine to study acca..dun regret wei.,
cos it's difficult..u better take degree program ler if u always lepak...
cos u got marks from assignment and stuff....
by the time u got your degree, some of your friends might still stuck in CAT or acca...lolz,only apply to those who loves to play=)and study less...like me..lolz.

haha,yalo...if u are the type who like to play play and want to graduate a bit relax..then maybe acca is not suitable also coz study acca need high self discipline and also need to self study quite a lot...compare to a degree course...

Hi again. So I guess, the best place OVERALL to study ACCA would be Kasturi or PAAC, based on people's opinions here.

But can anyone kindly tell me the total cost and the intakes? I heard Sunway costs rm40k for 3 years, intakes at Jan and July. I think it'll be alot cheaper although money is not a problem. External courses are cheaper than degree programmes, but harder

erm...i think Kasturi is better in that sense..cheaper and good lecturers(although not all)...

i think 40k can enable me study acca 2 times in the previous college lo..hehe..

and the lecturer sucks, stupid,and dun even know what to spot for exam. if u plan to take the course,go kasturi..or else do your own search la..so simple thing also everyone ask so many time.
