yes..accounting is very wide now...
u started part 1 last month....
so i suggest you this, take up your acca till part 2..get your OBU..
go straight to big 4..apply for ICAEW or CFA..
although the qualification isn't that hot now...but in couple years time...
i will assure you...acca is just like a diploma course..
the trend is changing.
*
in my opinion,it is not good to stop at part 2 as OBU is really nothing..
as far as i know,now holders of ACCA is quite demanding in the market,CFA is a profeesional course on financial analyst,so if u not interested in that,i don c the point that u shd go for it instead of ACCA part 3 and get ur ACCA title..
for me ,the professional qualification is just like a passport to go into the area,what u can can achieve and how good u can be all depends on ur attitude and also experience along the working...
the 'u' not mean u virginslayer,just generally i mean and the above all my personal opinion... laugh.gif laugh.gif

yes and no but maybe..one day..u can see more n more ppl taking up ACCA.. high skoo leaver to working adults..=) hmm..just now virginslayer say take ACCA utill part 2 only i dun think its a good idea.. just finish part 3 then only continue another quatification that will be better  smile.gif

yaya...nothing is impossible right,who knows one day that might happen,but if like that,i believe ACCA also realised this and i wish that they will take the initiative to make it not too worse,so many ppl are taking exams ever sitting but only certain numbers did pass,so i believe they will carry out some quality control also...

ya,that is the reason also i take my ICSA only after i finish my ACCA... icon_idea.gif rclxm9.gif

you are smart for spm doesn't mean you are smart in accounting.
your phase is increase by dozens.
higher level accounting isn't similar as spm...personally i got 11A1 for spm..
but i find out that acca is a tough course..
you are clever,but you didn't do the right choice..
diploma is a 2year course..for a degree will be approximately 4 - 5 years course..
if your course decision commence from cat, you wil get your degree and complete your entire course in 2.5 years time. later on,continue with CFA or ICEAW for another two years...
people get degree in 5 years.
but you get degree and acca in 2.5 years time, besides you earn either CFA or ICAEW in 2 years time..it come to a total of 4.5 years..which is earlier and faster than the degree student,beside your qualification is more recognise.
do more research b4 you enter into certain course...

U r definitely correct....i agree wf u totally....higher accounting is nt as easy as ABC in tertiary studies....actually i noe tat ther r many routes 2 study ACCA....
CAT( 1 yr )-->ACCA(part 2)--->ACCA(part 3)
TARC--diploma in business studies ( 2yrs )-->ACCA(part 2)-->ACCA(part 3)
LCCI //A levels // F6-->ACCA(part 1)-->2 & 3
As i dun1 2 step in2 d business world so fast.....i chus 2 stay 1 more year by studyin in KTAR....n it saves money 2.....

CFA n ICAEW yup....same wf me....i plan 2 take CFA soon i fnsh my ACCA...while 4 ICAEW ( The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England n Wales ) plz do corect me if im wrong....its a v hard degree i heard from others....n d oni place tat can studies tis degree locally is in Sunway.....
In a few yrs time...ACCA=F6??=Diploma??=SPM?? hahha....i agree totally....
i got a few ques here...
1. Wic coll offer d course CFA??
2. Do i get any exemtion papers???
3. CFA n MBA...wic 1 is beta??
4. How 2 enter in2 d big 4???

Such excellent students (I consider 10 A1s above is exceptional) is very rare in TARC. A lot of 10 As students here but not 10 A1s...

Frankly speaking, Diploma in accounting is quite easy. U can take CAT & diploma at the same time in your case !! I am 2nd year AFA

irresistible....im nt v clever la....virgin slayer is rite....gud in SPM doesnt mean tat im gud in tertiary accountin.....do u plan 2 tk CFA afta ur ACCA??? o MBA???

erhemm. actually kasturi website got loads of information already. btw i want u too to differentiate CFA n ACCA as CFA is sum what called "master degree of finance" whilst ACCA is a reputable profesional quatification for accounts.

comparison between CFA n MBA. MBA will give a better knowledge in business as u'll learn HR,acc, marketing,finance,taxation bla bla bla. CFA is intermediate level finance n its highly reputable also.

its not the matter of reputation. i think its what u want to do in ur future which matters more when choosing ur course.

mind telling whats in ur mind? as in what profession u plan to be.

good luck choosing icon_rolleyes.gif

are you sure CFP no need take exam if with ACCA qualification and working experience?as far as i know,if we are ACCA holder and got the 3 yrs working experience then we can go for CFP under challenge status and we still need to sit for the final module that is the 6th module...

for the CFA,you sure got anything called CFA challenger?coz i check from the net,the entry requirement for CFA will be stricter than CFP...
