Welcome to this threat.. Erm, for ur ques, thats depend on urself.. Are u new in ACCA..?? There are pros n cons for evy coll de la... Basically, 3types of ACCA tuition provider:

a) SUNWAY - if u wan to study in a 'college environment' with great facilities like swimming pool, hostel condo, comfortable library n bla bla bla... But, be prepared to burn up ur money as the course fees plus admin charge might cost u double compare to other colls...

b) TARC - college environment.. Easier to get thru with the diploma n adv diploma (internal exam).. But it requires 4 years in TARC then take ACCA part 3 examination.. Its more difficult to handle external exam in ACCA part 3 once u in TARC used to internal exam type...

c) other coll would serve more as 'tuition provider' than like a college.. Example good/famous coll would be ksa, ftms, mcO, paac (sorry if i miss out any).. U ll be more independant like.. Advantages include u can choose ur lecturer who suit u, jump from this coll to another.. Course fees would be cheaper..

ANyhow, its just my opinion.. Hope it helps.. Im sorry if i made any mistake in the above points..

I do normally treat tips as my final backup, things that i must know very well before entering into the exam hall.. ACCA exams are unpredictable, so better to study up evything, then only focus on some key important areas..

I just took my CAT 9 and T10 last sitting and scored both quite well also.. Erm, yeah, coolly was right, u need not to memorize those section/para/sch except only for those basic such as resident, types of income, employment deemed derived from msia (S13(2)(x))... Basically, T9 nth much to remember, just abit foundamental of wat income is taxable n expenses that deductible.. Just do some PYQ and u ll have no problem in passing this paper.. Bout Dr. Choong Kwai Fatt Malaysia Taxation Textbook, its good to go throu it if u have time n wan to score, but if u just need a 'pass' in this paper, doing PYQ is enuf..

About T10, dun really have any shorcut for this, u need good finance knowledge.. Of course u have to make sure urself to master in some key important areas such as NPV, cash budget, WCR, etc...

Just some sharing.. Well, i believe good effort produces good results.. U may pm me for further details/enquiries on these papers..

This is quite true in CAT P5.. Study smart, u need to know well the details of the five key elements in P5 n how the examiner has tested the topics during the years.. Of course dun just scramble evything into ur head..
But, remember also, dun take for grant, the examiner can change his mind n test u whichever topic he wants.. So, study study n study.. Haha...

Erm, Im not sure bout the 'wherz the timetable', but I have just received mail from ACCA invitation to the convocation.. Just wanna know any of the forumer here ll be attending it also or not...

3.6 msia variant really tougher..?? i havent take 2.5 yet, but isnt is advisable to study msia variant if we were to work in msia..?? Plz do advise me on this matter as well.. Which variant (int or msia) will be prefered by the employers in msia, especially big4..??

Hehe, thanx.. Coolly y so long didnt post..?? but CAT award is nothing so great as the papers much easier than ACCA.. N the number of CAT's students also much lesser than ACCA's, so lesser competition lol... I dun think can get ACCA award wo, now can pass part 2 also happie enuf liao..

Ya, the only reason y i didnt choose TARC is the time duration.. I wanna to be the earliest to get my degree compare to my friends.. Haha...

Since u guyz talking bout new syllabus, can anyone guide me which optional papers should i clear first in current syllabus b4 going to the new syllabus.?? In other words, as a wise strategy, among the optional paperz, which ll turn out to be much more difficult for new syllabus.??

NB: I have not really decide yet to choose which optional papers (preferably audit or/and tax).. Anyone that could advise me on this issue is much appreciated as well..
