hey guys...need some help here...for my fren

Is UCSI a good choice for Accounting course with ACCA???
My fren is currently considering tarc, UCSI, Taylors, UTAR...
I heard tarc ACCA is good but i have doubts regarding the study environment thr...especially the wangsa maju area...lol...heard alot cases oledi from my frens...robbery n stuffs...
If possible plz provide any additional info yea...thx

erm...actually wat u are asking is one is internal course(all the degree) and another is external course (ie ACCA)
each got the advantage and disadvantage lo....

for degree,fee,time all is fixed,u can know that u will finish the course and also get a degree...and normally is full time...

for acca,everything is almost flexible,u can choose how many papers to take,how long to finish like that lo...

TARＣ got the advantage,when u are having the advanced diploma,u can get exemptions from ACCA lo,so that's y when graduate,if lucky then can get adv diploma or degree and also ACCA lo...

for the other colleges u mentioned,they are all degree courses,so jus depends on wat type of study life ur fren wan...  

TARC is always the best choice is you want to save money for ur parents...it's cheap and still can provide quality education........but for advance...better prepare to save and spent more money loh....
Only college in malaysia to provide internally assessed programme.....

Quite sensitive to be said here....but basically if u thk u r no good, u need to spend more money on taking tuition outside there. Well, what is taught in college is not enough to cover ACCA syllabus....for example is tax and audit.....Same like in my case.....
But can self study really helps?

i appeal thru email lo...their first reply is bout one week after i send, they say cannot change edi cos i take exam after the due date for cbe exam...

then i send again say i really need to take exam as i already pay all my fees...

2nd appeal also cannot lo..again they reply say cannot...

but i didn't give up..tell them how important i need to take exam this sitting...

actually i also a bit give up de le...cos FTMS they appeal also fail...but yesterday i check mail, they give me a numbers (acca number), then ask me to register for exam b4 15 oct...n say if got anything can contact them ...

i feel they really quite effecient lo....
i will try my best to study hard de...thx so much coolly n gary!!! =)

BTW,i was incharged in the holdings' account receivable,payable,cash book claimant as well.. like 1 LEG kick. Sometimes, i need 2 enter more than 100 stacked of invoices.

in my firm, results doesn't really play a role in determining ur wages, bcos it's all fixed .. at the beginning..ACCA affliate get same pay with the degree holders.. then later on performance will kick in and the one who performed better will get slightly higher increment and bonus..  my salary is above 2k exclusive of travelling allowance which if i work in damansara or somewhere far from my office, it'll be able to cover my car installment as well as petrol..  good eh 

i disagree with the PwC comment, u do not have to be a book prize winner or distinction student to get in.. there are plenty of weak people in there..  some with even poor english just try.. u might be able to get in  =)

P/S.  i'm certainly not a distinction student and not a prize winner.. 


anyway, this was a question i pose to my office training department staff who was in charge of ACCA, she has confirmed with MIA that once we get our 3 yrs experience, we will get CA recognition..
hehe when and where is the graduation this time? i spent almost 1k to attend the graduation + photo.. damn bloody expensive..  but was worth it. haha.. after all the years of studying, 1k is nothing 
where r u working again ar? hehe.. if it's medium/small firm,.. it's expected to 1 leg kick isnt it haha

well i do agree that commercial line does appreciate professional qualification (ACCA etc) more compared to degree..  u do not wish to disclose in public? maybe can disclose to me tru pm?  lol.. i really would want to know what are the "dark secrets".. actually in my opinion, P isnt really a great place to be.... there are better place out there i believe.. so dont worry if u guys are not part of it..

hmm public practice.. ok.. i dunno.. i only know i'll get CA after 3 yrs..

the graduation is a money sucking mechanism.. just like wedding.. everything is more expensive.. and about membership fees, most firm sponsor that and most firm will pay u higher once u r a member, i.e. QUALIFIED.. my firm pay a significantly higher amount of pay if we are members..
yes mandarin will be an advantage.. u believe ur english is good enough, bcos i've seen worse in my firm.. cannot even really communicate  >.< 

yes, can cover car installment and petrol.. but that's working in damasara etc area which are far from my office la.. if work in places like KLCC, which i did for 2 months, i made loss .. cannot cover my petrol even..  LOL  so.. it depends where u travel to..

i'm taking 2.1 n 2.2 revision class in kasturi college...dunno where to attend to 2.3...paac cannot cos the time table crash with kasturi 2.1 er...any suggestion??

btw,i'm working..i dunno am i able to handle 3 papers in one sitting .. i'm not dat hardworking type..last time use to be la..but now..can't le..old edi guar 

n hor, got any ppl work n study part time n can pass easily???i mean also got contribute effort la..n how to manage the time to study le??
