Plasmacluster Ion technology is a registered technology by Sharp, which was developed in 2000. It is the genuine and the only air purification system that releases positive and negative ions into the air to remove harmful airborne substances. As Its a registered technology, other air conditioner manufacturers only can 'copy' it and produce so-called Ionizer which only releases negative ions. Plasmacluster Ions can suppress the activity of a total of 26 kinds of bacteria, mold fungi, viruses and allergens floating in the air.

The event presented Sharp latest findings of Plasmacluster Ion technology - inhibit the infectivity of the H1N1 influenza virus by airborne or stationary. Don't make false claim, as far as I know, no filter or purifiers can filter out virus. But to filter out virus in germs is possible because it filters out germs.

very interested to get 1, but from http://www.sharp.com.my/product.php?ProductID=KC860E it said "Effective against H5N1 virus " and the problem now is what is H5n1 and i have problem in choosing between sharp and panasonic air purifier. What's the different between ion plasmacluster and nanoe?

the term nano refers to the density of the filter, and Panasonic only releases '-' Minus ion

Plasmacluster is a registered technology by Sharp, the other brands only can copy part of it to cope with the trend and market, so don't get fooled.

i have one sharp plasmacluster with humidifier tech. it works wonders for master bedroom in removing dust and odour! great for babies. highly recommended.
