Finally decide buying a proper GPU Card Holder - Cooler Master ELV8 - Graphics Card Holder with Addressable RGB.

To using this, I need to change my Sound Blaster to 2nd slot and removed the cover as the MB connection is blocking it. Faint...

Done setup. smile.gif

I hope it should be ok.

So far I don't find any issue or noise issue.

No choice the bottom is totally blocked, unless I cut the hole at bottom but it is not easier. Haha!

Maybe it is for cosmetic only as it is not full cover.

Just wondering, the mobo I'm planning to use is Asus TUF B550M PLUS WIFI and this mobo only has one 3 pin ARGB Header.

Are you using some kind of 3 pin ARGB splitter to connect all the ARGB case fans, AIO and the GPU support bracket?

Ya, correct, I am using 3 pin ARGB splitter to 5 as my MB only have two unit of 3 pin ARGB which is not enough also.

The cons of splitter is all device connected to the splitter will have same ARGB pattern.

I am using this - https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cooler...splitter-cable/

Bro, this one is 2x8pins or the latest rev2.0 3x8pins version? Just wondering if the 3x8pins already in the market and how much compared with the 2x8pins?

Mine is the Rev 1.0 with 2 x 8-pin. I tested mine, it boosted 2,130 Mhz @ 1.062mV with 340W power draw.

You don't get anything much from a 3 x 8-pin, maybe extra 30Mhz overclock? A shunt mod 3080 with 500W+ power draw does around 2,200 Mhz - 2,230 Mhz at most.

Basically, an extra 30 Mhz will give negligible gains in games but you end up with lots of power draw & heat. I think Gigabyte just wants to keep people happy so they can see the card draws 380 watts during load smile.gif Another factor is marketing, so it looks similar like the Strix.

I have this too, but not too impressed with cooling performance, tbh. I'm getting between 70-73C while gaming. And mine lives in a Meshify C case with 6 case fans. To be fair, it's pulling 350W, but I read that Asus 3080 TUF is getting temps in the mid 60s.

That’s strange, your probably have to check your fan profile. I’m getting amazing temps, if I undervolt and game at 1835 MHz, my temps are 43-45C. If I play at 2130 MHz, it goes 60C but never surpasses it by much.

That was impressive temps you have, btw this was in aircond room? My iGame RTX3080 Vulcan OC at 1845mhz@0.8v temps is hovering between 60-64 degree, room temps around 30degree.

I’m on an open case, probably that’s why but when I was using 2080 Ti water cooled, the temps are also around 45C (overclocked). I’ve tested a few 3070, 3080 and this Aorus Master 3080 is definitely the coolest so far.

You probably need to check the fan profile because by default, it tries to stay silent. The funny part is, even at 70% the fan isn’t noisy laugh.gif

No boss, haha. If I want to water cool the card, I’ll buy the vanilla version. It’s not worth to spend on these rare models and end up water cooling it biggrin.gif
