sorry if this is really OT, but have always been curious what's the use of a home server ? is it just for NAS or do you actually log in as a Virtual Machine ?

moving to a new house soon so thinking about what gadget to get

Can do a lot of things with home server. Even powerful enough NAS also can do more things. Centralized storage, file sharing, remote access, backup storage, media server, video encoding, web server, download manager, home automation, security monitoring, DNS sinkhole and DHCP server for Pi hole, among other things.

If move to new house the best is you do wiring for your network cable around the house first so that you have network point around the floors and rooms.

Direct shipping cainiao
Add shipping charges, the total become RM324.44 which means each unit costs RM46.35

This is the fastest I ever received from Taobao, usually it takes between 10 - 14 days, maybe I'm just really lucky this time laugh.gif

Ya but for PC hardware not every can be shipped officially from TB to MY. Electronics usually cant be shipped unless via 3rd party freight.

Taobao at this moment is very efficient. Took 5-7 days only to reach my doorstep.
Usually up to 10 days.
