That was impressive temps you have, btw this was in aircond room? My iGame RTX3080 Vulcan OC at 1845mhz@0.8v temps is hovering between 60-64 degree, room temps around 30degree.

I’m on an open case, probably that’s why but when I was using 2080 Ti water cooled, the temps are also around 45C (overclocked). I’ve tested a few 3070, 3080 and this Aorus Master 3080 is definitely the coolest so far.

You probably need to check the fan profile because by default, it tries to stay silent. The funny part is, even at 70% the fan isn’t noisy laugh.gif

are you going to wc that card?
*
No boss, haha. If I want to water cool the card, I’ll buy the vanilla version. It’s not worth to spend on these rare models and end up water cooling it biggrin.gif

make more sense to just get the wced version of the card right? i think aorus have a wced version of rtx3080 as well.

Yes, there is smile.gif Xtreme Waterforce.
However the problem is when you sell in future, you need to find a fellow WC enthusiast to buy it.

In fact i'm still thinking should i watercooled my GPU since there is sales coming soon in Taobao, gpu waterblocks quite affordable  biggrin.gif

The GPU blocks from Barrow and Bykski are always priced around RM 280-350 depending on design. This is the actual price which can be bought anytime.

I know those China sellers can mark up quite a bit and sell at RM 400+ and that’s not worth it sad.gif

Wow congrats! Looking forward to see your WC rig  thumbup.gif
True, in fact can always PM the seller to get lower price.

These days, WC doesn't seem to give that much of gains like before. We handle the thermal limit, there's another thing called power limit.
From air cool to water cool, we probably gain 100 Mhz or less boost clock.

The decision for WC is probably harder to make these days (unless into cosmetics).

You're running open bench, no wonder la, haha. Meshify C is a pretty tight case, despite being full mesh. Very little clearance, had to mount fans on the other side of the chassis to fit. My custom fan profile is maxed 100% at 60C. I'm overclocking +40mhz, 100% voltage.
*
If the case is tight, I am sure other RTX 3080's will be even hotter.
Trust me, this is by far the coolest RTX 3070/3080 I've tested biggrin.gif

can ask how much the open bench?
from you bought it?
will dusk stuck at mobo, gc, etc after long used in vertical mode?
*
Hi Jim,

This is not an open bench but rather an open casing.
It costs around RM1k+ as the acrylic is very strong and supports water cooling.
I have been using this more than a year, so far so good.

There would still be dust due to our environment but it doesn't get stuck on the components so badly like in a casing. You can easily just wipe them off.

I am also planning to sell my whole PC now.
