I've found this out for a while now but I don't know why I keep forgetting to share it here.

I found out how to hard reset my device from XDA forums. Some of you may know that the traditional way of hard reset doesn't work on my device, here's how I did it:

1. Enter bootloader by pressing and HOLD the volume down button and the power button.

2. When everything is loaded, do the normal hard reset procedure

- Press and HOLD the 2 metallic buttons together.
- Press and HOLD the soft reset button located at the back of the battery cover.
- The normal hard reset screen will appear, press R to hard reset and then press spacebar to continue.

I'm not trying to say SE will never ever come out with their own WM6.5 ROM for X1, because although it is unlikely, it's still possible. So we will only let time decide it.

But to say that 3rd party ROMs are not using genuine WM6.5, then you are seriously misguided.

As rkwan said, after your hp shop guy help you flash to your 'original' WM6.5, go to bootloader and show us it's Hard SPL or Stock SPL tongue.gif

Forums are more reliable than your HP guy, srsly.

Rota's LEO ROM supports landscape, and other features. I think valkyrie supports landscape too.

Itje's ROMs do not support landscape in TF3D home, but landscape still works during messaging (including HTC messaging) and other places.

stable and fast use Jack's V3 Manila 2.1 + WM6.1

Super stable and fast, albeit without those fancy WM6.5 stuff, including kinetic scrolling.

Touch HD2 got flash, and the resolution is also WVGA.

Yep, Touch HD2 is HTC Leo, except it's on WM only. HD2 is even complete with capacitive touch screen + multi touch technology. Something to really marvel at.

Maybe they'll release Touch HD2 Pro, which is like the qwerty keyboard version of it, then it'll be totally awesome gadget that I can never afford.

Rota's 2.4 is Manila 2.5, Touch IT 15.1 is Manila 2.1

Manila 2.1 tends to be more stable I guess.

Anyway, Rota kinda disappointed me. Before he went on to make ROMs, he said he didn't really want to care about newer builds and will focus more on speed and stability. But look what happened now? Not stable at all, because he add too many of his own customizations.

Oh well, at least maybe it will suite those people who like tons of functions by sacrificing speed and stability.

Nope, just leave those items there. You can keep all your musics and pictures, it will not disappear after you flash your ROM. However, it is recommended to hard reset BEFORE and AFTER flashing.

I use the TF3D music players, since I don't usually listen to songs on my X1 unless I'm out, I'm bored, I'm waiting for something.

So I just tap the play button, and everything runs well.

Look at my signature, I'm using Philips SHP2700 lol, the music quality is much better than X1's earphone. Prior to that, I've been using X1's earphones on my desktop too haha.

Don't over-heat your X1 too much, it will reduce its battery life by quite a lot.

Of course I won't bring my headphone along! The headphone is for my desktop only lol.

Momax battery? I don't know, I should check up on it... Don't know if it's reliable. One thing is that I don't really know if I should even spend the money to buy an extra battery because I'm not even sure if I want to keep this phone for long. The keyboard problem is such a shame. sad.gif

On the other note, what panels are you all using? I'm using CNN and Facebook panels occasionally.

If I'm not mistaken only LEO got footprint, but I remember I was using WM6.1 Jack V3 long long time ago got footprints app, not the tab.

Why QVGA version? X1 is WVGA, it's better to download the WVGA version no?
