I had the same problem with you. Exact same situation, happened twice today, really hate it when I've to remove the back cover to soft reset.

I've checked on xda and several ppl are facing the same problem, someone tried using the windows default homescreen, and he didn't face any problem, so I guess the problem lies with the manila 2.1 I'll use it for a few more days, if it's still like that I think I'll go for touch it 14/15 if it's out by then.

IMHO Jack's V4 is not that nice, I prefer valkyrie FS 3.1 anytime.


Rota's rom will be out in 5 hours time, looks like I can flash it by tonight hehe =P can't wait

U can try itje touch it 14.2, heard that it's pretty stable. Another hour more before rota's rom is released, can't wait =)

I don't know but when I was using jack v4 wifi wasn't working for me and I didn't like the UI compared to valkyrie. Should I try rota? I'm tempted haha, but holding back due to all the bugs that u guys mentioned.

I read a poll on whether WM 6.1 or 6.5 is better, some mentioned that 6.1 is much more stable, perhaps I'll give Jack's v3.6 full as I need the chinese support. Keep us updated.

U're comparing to valkrie leo horizon? Or the FS version? If it's less laggy I wouldn't mind giving it a try for a few days.

Suprising you find it that way, to me stock rom is hmm.. under utilizing the abilities of the phone. You can download CE star for chinese support.


Agent is releasing 3.5.52 at 2200 GMT tonight, for both FS and LEO, finally I got something to try haha! Will report back.

I'm downloading touch it leo 5.5 now, going to try it for a while since you mentioned that it's much faster compared to valkyrie. Btw are u facing any problems with this rom? Read from htcpedia abt the sms bug, have to disable the htc app by using a cab, and then the hardware kb can't be used in opera? BT, sounds & notification also got bugs,mind checking it out for me? Thanks!

I just tried touch it leo v5.5, don't really like it, the arrangements of his menu are not up to my taste. I still prefer valkyrie. Downloading FS 3.5.52 right now.

Haha.. WM 6.1 is a bit old to me, I wanted to try jack v3.6 full but figured out that I prefer WM6.5 UI anytime.


I downloaded 3.5.52 LEO but agent uploaded the wrong version, it was FS 3.5.52 actually, since I've ady flashed so I would just stay with it. So far it's stable, with the new htc menu customization, it looks good. Other than that, no other bugs that I've found out yet. The HTC Hero wallpaper isn't the previous one ady, who knows where I can get the htc hero wallpaper?

That is the corrected link for valkyrie 3.5.52 LEO rom. What I wanted was the hero wallpaper.

I'm downloading Jack v3.6 now, might be flashing tmrw if I'm too bored, I have only tried WM 6.1 for a day, which is on stock rom, have been on WM6.5 ever since.. Time to switch back haha

I'm on FS 3.5.52 now, so far stable for me, and battery life is pretty good too, drop only like 1-2 % over 4 hours time.

My battery will last me for a day max if I use the GPS and web surfing heavily.

I'm downloading it now, just can't withstand the temptations, finally I've something to flash this long holiday. Didn't want to try rota v1.2 as I read somewhere it's similar to Touch it Leo, I don't like the HTC menu interface, as in settings page will not bring u into WM settings.

I still prefer valkyrie till now. On 3.5.52 till now and it much more stable than 3.4.47.

When I was on 3.4 yes, I had this issue. But on 3.5.52, battery life is much better. Will try out 3.6 and report back. I would rather have battery drain issues as I'm very comfortable with the icons layout of valkyrie compared to touch it..

Before I took a nap 90 minutes ago, I just finished charging my battery, and now it's still 100%. Will give it till tmrw and see how the battery performs. I'm on 3.6.52 anyway.


Anybody on FS 3.6.52? The skull wallpaper seems to be corrupted to me. It's only a green screen.

Touch it 5.6 LEO is up and the footprint is working. That is what I read from itje's thread. Hope it helps..

Seems to me that valkyrie FS 3.6.52 battery issue is quite ok, over the night ( around 7 hours )it drained around 20% only, with some mild gaming before I slept.

The 3 row layout for touch it is not to my taste. And the way all the settings point to the htc menu is really irritating to me. I prefer to fiddle with wm manually just like how valkyrie rom has. That's the main reason I'm still staying despite the battery drain issues.
