count me in.. i'm also having the same problem.. and i thought i was the only one for awhile

I've checked on xda and several ppl are facing the same problem, someone tried using the windows default homescreen, and he didn't face any problem, so I guess the problem lies with the manila 2.1 I'll use it for a few more days, if it's still like that I think I'll go for touch it 14/15 if it's out by then.

well at least i did not restrict my phone's diet and let it eat all the ROM it wants after a few days of purchase.

i know the right word is flash. tq for explaining.

what i mean is flashing new unofficial rom which modified by someone. i tot thats the meaning of "eat".

while cook a rom is modifying official rom?

sorry. but i didn't say this forum is messy. i mean the xda-developers forum is messy. there's too many codename and i dont want to brick my x1 when i bought it later on.

i understand the hard spl thing. but i dont understand the rom part. which files to use on. hurm. later i will google about it. i dont want to choose a wrong rom and again later on i dont want to brick my phone.

haha for me its easier to get the phone first, then only read about the roms and all those. Before that I didn't understand much about it even after browsing a while ..

well i guess, maybe i will understand it when i get the phone.

btw, my hsmate use htc. and he like flashing new rom. he did explain to me what he did and everythg about pda. so i edy have some ideas how its look like.

since i wanna do it myself, i hv to learn it myself. to get better pictures.

bro... dont be so worry.. u worry now u doesnt get any fun at all while enjoy ur purchase of new rom..

jus like youliang said.. get ur phone first, then play around with stock rom, then bored with stock rom dy.. flash to 3rd party rom. that is the best way.. that wad i do as well..

okie, be clear on you.. flashing a rom hardly will brick ur phone.. u dun be so kan cheong here kan cheong there.. no point wan..

the only part u should take aware of is the hard-spl part. if u doesnt follow closely then u bricked ur phone. but flashing rom? alla, damn easy.. i even dun care about bricking my phone... anything wrong happen, then reflash it again.. it doesnt a big problem as long as the bootloader still working.

i even flashed my Touch Pro even without reading the xda-developers forum. u juz let it run, then it will be fine.. chill...

enjoy ur stock rom for days b4 anything else, doesnt much to worry about. n remind u again, flashing isnt hard at ALL, take it cool..wont easily brick ur phone anyway.

omnia 2 should be a good choice too...

it could b rom setting oso gua.. cos wit fsv3.1.. it nvr happen...= =, the 1st time im facing tis problem, is on the 1st time i flash to custom rom, so the setting thingy from wm6.1 to 6.5 could b different, so hard reset may fix it.. but tis time after hard reset oso same..


my fren is getting a omnia2 soon.. his uncle in singapore going to register for a new line, take from tat, $398 only.....@@

new omnia selling at there oso MYR1800 while msia selling MYR2300.. siao... hehe..

IMHO Jack's V4 is not that nice, I prefer valkyrie FS 3.1 anytime.
