Yup X1 drops a lot .....

X2 is actually worse than X1.

It's not HTC made so it doesn't have the wide array of support by xda-developers.

welll bro.. i think it not keyboard problem... i found out installing custom software made my keyboard less responsive...compare to original rom...

previous i use energy rom... it is ok... but some time repeat twice... but now i use firestorm.. it more worst... so i dun think it is hardware problem...

am i rite????

Custom ROMs may play a part, I don't know. But even if it does, it plays just a very small part.

The keyboard problem is definitely a hardware problem.

yea, i do agree with you. the keyboard problem is proven by a lot of x1 users. yyap2, u can search it on xda forum. got few thread related with keyboard problem.

anybody know wats the setting for mms/3g for maxis... can't download it true sms... i've activated my sim card, just change to new one after 7 years using it...

i believe ROM do play part. i personally do feel difference on speed and repeating speed of keyboard keystroke. on some rom, they got longer repeating speed thus less responsive but lesser error. some rom got faster repeating speed thus feel more responsive but it might catch double keystroke.

i thought the mms and 3g setting is auto done by the phone?

u can setup the settings again at start>setting>connections>connection setup. choose your operator then OK. the phone will auto setup for u.

also please check your mms setting at MMS option. Start>Text>Menu(or some sort like that)>MMS Options>Servers. make sure the mms server is correct.

the speed can be change under start>settings>personal>buttons>up/down control. u can adjust the speed at there. is not the rom problem.

How about sending the phone for repair keyboard ?? Will it be the same ???

oh yeah.. i called my AP distro 2day. they said keypad no warranty at all for me. even though the receiver itself got 18mths. sob.

they said they can open up and clean it for free (obviously), and clean the ribbon of it also. but still no parts change. if parts change will get charged.

and then, since im so out of luck. i used some tiny brush, and vacuum cleaner. sucks the dust myself on the keyboard. it works out quite ok. now my keyboard a little bit better than previously. but not as good as new of caz.

had u tried it. that is only UP/DOWN control and NOT keyboard. lols.

I think there are 2 main reasons why X1's price is falling fast.

1. It's from Sony Ericsson. Although it's made by HTC, it still bears the SE name. So those SE fans will think that X1 will be like those low-end SE devices, only to be shocked by the lagginess of WinMo and they have no idea how to customize it. Plus, at the time of its launch, X1 is probably the best designed phone, many people, even non SE fans will be attracted to it.

So many of them sell it at 2nd hand price thus bringing the price down.

2. The quality control sucks. Cracks, keyboard problem + other various problems.

Very few people would want to live with that. They rather sell it at a low price and get something with better quality.

what type of keyboard problem are we looking at?

You opened up the keyboard? or how? Can teach?
