guys, here's a typical question from me.. Just curious to know how does the stock market price be determined? like how for example, company ABC is priced 6.00 in stock market etc. Will be very happy to at least know how the evaluation of this price be known, and most importantly, what are the factors behind the change in price? If it is because of the buying and selling made by traders or investors(for long term), then wouldn't it be a volume that should be the key factor behind the change in price instead of the fundamental analysis? hope to hear you all opinions though!

Partial answer from me:
1. Political link - cronies. Example: CIMB, MRCB, Maybank, RHB etc
2. Syndicate goreng
3. Because of good news pending, which can bring profit in future for the company and a big fat dividend for investors.
4. Some are investors (buy n hold) some are traders (quick in for profit)
5. How price is determined? Willing buyer and willing seller (for daily price movement) and item no. 1-4

Prices are determined by market forces: Willing seller, willing buyer.
